Collaborative Learning Lesson Plan

I. Pre – Design Phase

Topic/Lesson: Human Dignity, Rights and Common Goods


Lesson Duration: 8:00am – 9:00am Monday to Friday
Subject/Course: Understanding Culture, Society and Politics
Grade/Year Level: Grade 11
Materials/ Equipment: Laptop, Projector, Pictures and Paper

II. Conducting the Lesson

Learning Objectives: -Explain Human Dignity, Rights and Common Goods


-Recognizing the value of Human Dignity, Rights and Common goods
-Promote protection of Human Dignity, Rights and Common Goods

Lesson Procedure: Establishing the purpose of lesson giving them a short video clip and some
pictures that will portray about the topic. Asking them some questions
that cause them to figure out the lesson. Discussing with them a slide
presentation of Human Dignity, Rights and Common Goods. Afterwards
applying collaboration by grouping them for the class to be active and all
will be participative in the activity. Each member will be now responsible
and there is interdependency. Before the class ends each group needs to
give thoughts, enjoyment or maybe outcome of their work.

Collaborative Learning Strategy:

I’ll use the Think-Pair-Share strategy where students can work together to
solve a problem or answer a question about an assigned activity to them.
It enables students to think individually and collectively share ideas with
Their classmates.

III. Evaluation
The students will be assessed during the group activity by applying the
collaborative strategies regarding some issues of Human Dignity, Rights
and Common Goods. After the activity they will have a case to case or
situational multiple-choice test individually.
