Cuando era niña, Kakenya Ntaiya era como la mayoría de las chicas de su aldea en Kenia. Cuando
era una adolescente, se esperaba que se casara y tuviera hijos. En cambio, Ntaiya convenció a sus
padres para que la dejaran terminar la escuela secundaria. Después de eso, fue a los Estados Unidos
para asistir a la universidad. Finalmente obtuvo un doctorado en educación. Cuando Antalya
