3.1.1 Observation
When I entered the Creotec facility, I knew that it was different from our
usual school setting because everything felt foreign to us. The words “Keep
right”, “Observe silence” and “One line only” filled my ears as I timidly
movements of the people in the office there and the other students that were
having their immersion before us. The white walls inside the facility were free
of dirt, making them a little bit confining. But these walls became our home for
two weeks, they contained all the new and wonderful experiences that we had
they were full of arrow stickers, these stickers guided us to always “Keep
Right”.
3.1.2 Interaction
On our first day as trainees under Creotec, we were able to meet the
support staff and the instructors of Creotec. The deemed support staff are
students like us, they are trainees from St. Joseph Academy having their
immersion ahead of us. They were the ones who governed over us during our
first week as trainees, informing us about the rules and regulations in the
facility and enforcing them. The instructors were the ones who taught us
during our work immersion for two weeks. They taught us what we will do
during the work immersion and why were we going through it. I learned a lot
about the EMS Group of Companies, where Creotec is a branch of, the
proper work ethics that we need to exercise while inside the Creotec facility,
and how the application of the Japanese culture can improve the work done
in a workplace.
3.1.3 Participation
As part of the Health and Safety Department, I, along with my co-staff and
co-support team, was assumed to be role models for our co-trainees. This is
to ensure that the rules and regulations inside Creotec is properly enforced

bin of every lecture room, production room and support office, to ensure that

3.2 Challenges
During our two-week Work Immersion, I was faced with two major
production. I knew that when I heard the word “production”, I wasn’t supposed
myself because I didn’t want to disobey what the school instructed us to do,
which is to have our work immersion at Creotec. But when I went home, I let
that the school didn’t value what I wanted to do in the future. But, by the

aren’t just for the computations of our grades. I realized that like in Creotec,
the lessons we pick up from our instructors/teachers can be and are applied
to real life. For example, being diligent, specifically being on time, can be very
observed in the offices that we will work in soon. Following rules and
regulations were also strictly implemented in the Creotec facility. This has
changed how we, the Grade 12 students, act in and out of the school. These

and improve my leadership skills. This is because I was able to divide the

the Human Resource Department. I did that to be assigned to the Health and
Medicine. I was happy to know that I did get accepted into my preferred
medicine.
Being a part of the Health and Safety Staff has made my choice to pursue
a career in Medicine certain. As I have stated above, when I learned that the
STEM students are going to be assigned to the production area, I knew I had
chosen career. That is why I was so happy when I was assigned to the Health
and Safety Department because there I had a taste of what I, hopefully will do
in the future.
Brief Description: Become the Head of the Health and Safety Staff and
As leader of our department, I was tasked to be the head and to divide the
work that we must do. The Health and Safety Staff was tasked to enforce the
Safety Rules and Regulations inside the Creotec Facility. We are expected to
ensure the health and safety of not only the trainees, but also of all of the
people inside the facility. We are also expected to attend to those who are
feeling and to look after them until they are better. We are presumed to serve
as role models to the trainees, especially the new trainees, for them to abide
