Middle School ELA Action Plan

7th Grade Spring 2021

 Goal: Students to gain knowledge of their student teacher; promotion of student and teacher reflection;
engagement in COVID-safe class activities.
 Objective: Throughout the Spring semester, students will engage in activities to get to know their student
teacher. Students will also self-reflect and participate in whole class/small group work activities to promote
safe and active engagement, even during a pandemic.
 Rationale: As we enter into a new year, uncertain of what to expect in regards to modes of instruction, it
is important that educators continue to promote strong teacher and peer relationships and students’ active
involvement in education. Whether it be online or in-person instruction, the challenges educators face during
these unprecedented times may be stressful, but the more we get to know our students and engage them in
safe, meaningful activities the better and more advantageous the school year will be.
