Job Description
OK Bottling and Beverage Share Company is involved in the production of Bottled Natural Spring Water that highly
satisfies its customers as well as end users in supplying clean Natural spring water and in discharging its social
responsibility for the society.  The Company’s manufacturing Plant is located in South Nations and Nationalities
Region Guraghe Zone Eza Woreda nearby Wolkite University 198 KMS away from Addis Ababa.  In addition our
Company is currently engaged in export of cereals and pulses    and hence we are looking to hire dynamic, energetic
and hardworking potential employee in the following position as per specified job requirements.

Job Summary and Description  

The Export Manager is directly reporting to the General Manager. He/she is responsible for planning, organising,
directing, coordinating, and controlling the Export functions of the Company. He/she provides leadership expertise
in providing efficient and focused Export strategies so as to achieve the company’s strategies, growth and profit
objectives. He/she plans and implements sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long
range, targeting towards existing and new markets by performing all sales activities, staffing and directing sales
team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company
vision and values.

The manager is responsible to study the market of foreign countries and must determine, which countries is the most
likely to sell particular products. He/she is duly responsible for managing the sales of export products and related
services to the overseas customers, providing quotations, drawing up tender documents and agreeing the final
contract. He/she also processes orders and checks the distribution is running smoothly and that everything is on
schedule. When the product has finally been delivered, he may have to deal with any complaints or queries that
occur in relation to sales and exporting activities of the company.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
1: Planning and Management
 Prepares annual sales and marketing strategy & budget & continuously monitors its progress.
 Plans, organizes, directs, co-ordinates and controls marketing & sales activities.
  Initiates policies, plans, market strategies and diversification; and implements the same when approved.
 Formulates long, medium and short-term plans for the activities of the department and ensures its
implementation upon approval.
 Ensures sales plans are prepared based on sales orders, current marketing efforts, trend analysis of sales
performances of recent records, and market research finding.
 Develops a risk management strategy process for OK Bottling and Beverage S.C ensures regular review
and update timely.
 Ensures the provision of financial and material resources required for the efficient running of Export
activities.
 Develops coherent Export strategies, policies, procedures & guidelines for proper implementation of
activities of the department and implements the same when approved.
 Advises the GM on matters relating to the Export Management of the Company.
2: Export Marketing & Sales Activities
 Design and implement all export strategies and activities.
 Making cost breakeven for the exported goods 
 Setting the market price depending on the local supply, international market and profit margin of the
company. 
 Contacting international commodity suppliers and request rate offer for the imported goods 
 Contacting with clients and update them about their request through mail, phone and fax.
 Facilitate the shipping of products from the warehouse to Djibouti port to meet the target schedule 
 Oversees market research and development according to market trends and customer demand.
 Oversees all advertising, publicity and brand management programs.
 Develop and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate
objectives.  
 Develop and manages the export sales/marketing operating budget.
 Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media,
promotional materials trade fair and direct mail.     
 Develops and recommends brand positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term
market share.
 Ensures effective control of marketing results and takes corrective actions to guarantee that achievement of
marketing objectives fails within designated budgets.
 Reviewing and analyzes sales performance against previous period actual, previous year same season
performances and plans to determine effectiveness.
 Forecast annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
 Seeks out and target new customers and new sales opportunities initiates’ actions plan to approach and
secure new business for the company.
 Assessment of new marketing and sales opportunities as well as presentation of those estimations to the
respective managements.
 In consultation with the General Manager, formulates all the sales polices and procedures.
 Maintains accurate customer data base records of all praising, sales and customer and activity reports
submitted by each sales executer.    
 Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics code and ensures that they are
communicated and implemented within the team.
 Maintains contact with all clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction is achieved.
 Monitors the competitive goods/items in the market to improve the market share of the company.
 Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales show
room, quotas and goals per approved plans and established operating policies and procedures of the company.
 Follow up that export and sales activities are performed as planned.    
 Represents the company in marketing and sales dealing with customers, suppliers, government agencies,
other organizations and the general public when delegated.
 Monitors and assesses competitors’ actions in the market; proposes marketing measurers to enhance sales.
 Monitors the sales performance of distribution agents of the company; responds to all sales inquiries
without delay.
 Based on sound research, recommend changes in the marketing and sales policies and strategies of the
company.
 Provides advice and inform GM on Export marketing and sales issues and regulation.
 Implements audit recommendations related to Export marketing & sales activities.
 Reviews and approves various Export marketing and sales related documents.
 Proposes market expansion including opening of branch offices. 
   3: Staff Management
 Ensures that competent staff is appointed on important positions.
 Conducts regular meetings with General Manager and division heads to discuss ways and means of
improving work systems.
 Supervises, leads, guides and supports staff responsible to him/her.
 Coordinates and conducts periodic and comprehensive training need assessment to enhance the Export
marketing and sales skills of staff.
 Appraises the performance of the Export marketing and sales team members.
4:  Networking and Reporting.
 Establish and maintain networks and good relationship with customers, government institutions, business
sectors, and communities as necessary.
 Monitors continuously likely causes of customer complaints and suggests appropriate corrective measures,
 Communicate and Negotiate rates with the agents, logistics companies and shipping companies in
Shipment of exported goods. 
 Handling documentation for the exported commodities.
 Prepare and keep track of invoices of the exported goods. 
 Monitoring, follow up and Keep recording of stock of goods 
 Prepare and submits to the GM daily, weekly and monthly, quarterly and yearly sales reports covering,
among others: Details of sales by brand type, volume, value, market segment and customer. Customer satisfaction and
implication on future sales strategies; Unplanned activities performed; Problems encountered and recommended
solutions.
5: Others
 Performs other duties assigned by the GM.
Job Requirements
 MBA/MA/BA in Management, Economics, or Business Administration, or any other related field
 Minimum of 10/12 years relevant work experience in manufacturing business companies.
