Lesson Plan in MAPEH (HEALTH 9)


I. OBJECTIVE
At the end of the lesson 75% of the student should be able to:
a. discuss intentional injuries;
b. describe the types of intentional injuries; and
c. appreciate the value of life.

II. SUBJECT MATTER

Game: 4 pics in 1 word
Mechanics: Student will guess the word by simply looking at the 4 pictures.

c. Lesson proper
Intentional injury
 Injuries resulting from violence.
 It can be divided into two:
 SELF-INFLICTED – when a person harms himself/herself on purpose.
 ASSAULT – when a person harm other on purpose.

SELF – INFLICTED
 Suicide - It is the intentional taking of one’s life.
 Parasuicide - A suicide attempt in which a person does not intend to die.
ASSAULT
Classification of Assault
1. Committed within the family
2. Committed by peers
3. Committed by the other groups
4. Committed by the family, peers and other groups.

Domestic violence: It is an act that includes PHYSICAL ASSAULT (hitting, pushing


and shoving) SEXUAL ABUSE and VERBAL ABUSE.
Bullying: It as unwanted, aggressive behavior.
◦ An imbalance of power.
◦ Repetition
Stalking: Is a pattern of behavior that makes you feel afraid, nervous, nervous,
harassed or in danger. Involve action such as;
 Knowing your schedule
 Showing up at place you go to
 Sending mail, e-mail and pictures
 Calling or texting repeatedly
 Contacting you or posting about you on social network sites
 Writing letters
 Damaging your property
 Creating a website about you
 Sending gifts
 Stealing things that belong to you
Extortion: It is the act of using force or threats to force people to hand over their money
or properties on favor.
Kidnapping: It is taking away or forcefully moving a person against his/her will and
holding him/her in unjust captivity.
Rape: It is a force intercourse, including vaginal, anal or oral penetration.
