 ABOUT FDP
Buried energy is one of the renewable sources of energy that can generate electricity
and heat with a low impact on the environment. An important percent of the primary
energy consumption is used to provide buildings heating and cooling. Thermal energy
demand for buildings is driven by population growth and climatic conditions. For
these reasons new solutions had to be found in the dwellings sector and the passive
house concept has proved to be very efficient. A passive house can be equipped with
geothermal systems such as heat pumps and earth to air heat exchanger.
Energy efficiency belongs at the heart of a low-carbon economy. By reducing energy
use and cutting down on waste, we can reduce energy bills, make our energy system
more sustainable, and drive down greenhouse gas emissions with buried Energy. This
course will help faculties acquire the skills and techniques required to implement
energy management. This course will also benefit researchers and students who are
interested in working on Energy conservation & energy management.

 ABOUT ATAL
VISION
To empower faculty to achieve goals of Higher Education such as access, equity and
quality.
MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ATAL ACADEMIES
To plan and help in imparting quality technical education in the country and to support
technical institutions in fostering research, innovation and entrepreneurship through
training in various emerging areas.
ESTABLISHMENT OF ATAL ACADEMIES
First AICTE Training And Learning (ATAL) Academy and NWRO (Camp Office) of AICTE in
Jaipur was announced with establishment of other ATAL Academy in the country at
Jaipur, Vadodara, Guwahati & Trivandrum by the then Hon’ble Union Minister, Human
Resource Development on 24.9.2018.
 ABOUT MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT
Bhailalbhai & Bhikhabhai Institute of Technology (Polytechnic) is a Grant-in-Aid (GIA)
Institute. The Department of Mechanical Engineering came into existence in the year
1958. The department has 16 no. of qualified and dedicated faculty members with the
specialization in various themes of Mechanical Engineering. The department is
conducting Diploma Engineering program in Mechanical Engineering. The institute was
established in August 1958 with the intake capacity of 60 each in conventional
programmes like Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. The department has well
established computer center with 24 hours Internet connectivity, excellent library,
experienced and qualified faculty members to impart knowledge in the areas of
Thermal and Manufacturing and Computer Aided Machine Design. The Department
was NBA Accredited in 2010.
Mechanical Engineering Department is one of the oldest departments of the institute.
It is also one of the biggest departments of the institute with student strength of about
180.

 ABOUT BBIT
Bhailalbhai & Bhikhabhai Institute of Technology (Polytechnic) is a Grant-in-Aid (GIA)
Institute Polytechnic managed by Charutar Vidya Mandal, Vallabh Vidyanagar. The
institute was established in August 1958 with the intake capacity of 60 each in
conventional programmes like Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engg. Later on institute has
started new Diploma Programme in Electronics & Communication in 1985 with 60
intakes and Diploma in Computer Engg. in 1986 with 60 intake. The institute has also
started two programmes under Self Finance pattern; in the year 2001, it has started
Diploma in Information Technology with 60 intake and in 2003, Diploma in Electronics
& Communication with 60 intake. Thus to-day institute has total 780 intake capacity in
different disciplines of diploma engineering.
