Supercharging
Dry air filter
The cylinders are supplied with air by a turbocharger driven
by the exhaust gases.
It is lubricated by the engine lubrication system.
The air is drawn in by the turbochargers via the dry air filter.
Compressed air is cooled in an air/water exchanger.

The exchanger, fitted between the turbocharger and the

intake manifold, is fed by the seawater circuit. The air
entering the engine is cooled to curb pollutant emissions and
significantly reduce the thermal and mechanical stress
suffered by the engine.

The dry air filter on 6 W105M engines is designed to be fitted

Turbocharger directly on the engine. For other types of engine fitting,
please contact S. I. Moteurs Baudouin's technical
department.
Supercharger Air Cooling (SAC)

The condensation due to the cooling of supercharger air and

humidity is constantly drained off via the drain located at the
low point of the cooler.
You must regularly verify that the drain valve is not blocked
and is functioning properly.
