A SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN AGRI-FISHERY ARTS 2

(MODULE 3 LESSON 2: COVER CROPS & GREEN MANURES)

I. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the discussion the students are expected to:

a. Describe and define Cover Crops and Green Manures

b. Enumerate the plants involves in Cover Crops and Green Manures

c. Determine the benefits of Cover Crops and Green Manures to the plants

II. SUBJECT MATTER

Topic: AGRI-FISHERY ARTS 2 MODULE 3 LESSON 2: COVER CROPS &


GREEN MANURES
Materials: Google Meet, Messenger, Virtual Presentation

III. PROCEDURES

A. Pre-Activities

1. Drill: For the beginning of the report it will starts to ask the audience of the opinion about
cover crops. At least two representative will do.
2. Motivation: The reporter gave a highlights of each areas that was presented such as Cover
crops and Green Manures:

Then, the reporter will ask them: What is your prior knowledge about Cover Crops?

3. PRESENTATION: After the recitation about prior knowledge of the topic the reporter will
present the lesson immediately by showing a definitions and important points about the cover
crops and Green manures on the power point presentation. The reporter will present the pictures
of cover crops plants samples and green manures with examples via power point presentation.
The reporter will elaborate and explain each sub points that attach in the PowerPoint
presentation. Then, after that reporter has the opportunity to ask the audience if they understand
the discussion by asking minimal questions about the topics and offering the opinions of listeners
about their reactions and additional information about the topics.

B. Activity Proper: The listeners will be given a chance to raise their hands to cooperate and
recite their opinions, then they will discuss clearly and concise the terms and definitions with
examples in the whole class.

C. Analysis: The reporter will ask the students:

1. What do you mean by cover crops and green manures in a simple words?

2. What will be the difference between the cover crops and green manures?

D. Abstraction: The reporter will give again the correct answer of this analysis and it will
explain it briefly to the listeners.

E. Application: The listeners will be given a chance to think what their additional information
about the topics or question given to them.
IV. EVALUATION

A. Identification: Identify the following statement.

1. It defines as plants that are planted to cover the soil rather than for the purpose of
being harvested.
2. A term used to describe specific plant or crop varieties that are grown and turned into the
soil to improve its overall quality.
3. A cover crop sown on an agricultural plot in order to fertilize the soil for the following
crop mainly through the intake of nitrogen.
