Ensure that the total current of all the units connected to the wall outlet does not
exceed power supply capacity.
When using the extension cord, ensure that the total current of all the units connected
to this extension cord does not exceed the specification of the extension cord.
If it exceeds the specified current or power supply capacity, fire hazards may result.

Check Capacity

Do not scratch, damage, or remodel the power cord.

Do not place heavy objects on the power cord, nor pull or bend it.
Or the power cord will damage and cause fire and electric hazards.

Prohibited

Do not bind up the power cord even if it is too long, or this will cause poor heat emis-
sion and fire hazards as a result.

Prohibited

Do not touch the power plug with wet hands, or electric hazards may result.

Prohibited

Disconnect the power plug from the outlet by pulling the plug instead of the power
cord.
Pulling the power cord will damage the power cord and cause fire and electric hazards.

Prohibited

If the power plug or cord becomes abnormally hot, first turn off the power switch and
disconnect the power plug from the outlet.
If used continuously in this state, fire and electrical hazards may result. Contact your
dealer.

6-1. Precautions when Stacking the Papers.
7 Separate sheets of paper before
stacking in the feed bin.
• If sheets paper are not well separated, it may cause
misfeeding or double feeding.
• Make folded or curled paper smooth before use.

7 Align the paper before stacking it on the

feed bin.
• Insert the paper to the feed inlet until it touches lightly
the guide face of the inlet.
• Misfeed or double-feed may occur if the paper is not
aligned.

7 Check whether the ink of the printed ma-

terials is dry.
• Use after the ink on the paper is dryed well.
• Semi-dried ink not only fouls the machine, but also
causes misfeeding troubles by the ink stain.

7 Do not mix paper with different paper

quality, thickness, and printing in one
bin or the machine may detect it as
multiple feed by mistake.

13
6. Using the DC-6 mini, DC-8 mini

6-2. Stacking the Paper

7 Direction at stacking the paper
Depending on the paper size, the stacking direction varies as follows.

When using paper between B5 and A3

• Stack the paper lengthways as shown in the figure.

Note: If the end of the paper is longer than the tray,

pull out the slide plate so that it does not hang
downwards.

Slide Plate

When using A5 size paper

• Stack the paper sideways as shown in the figure.

7 Stacking Order of the Paper on the Bin

6-4. Preset Key

The preset key detects which bin contains paper and which does not, and at the same time
records the paper size and reference data for multiple feed detection.
After this detection, it feeds paper only from the bins containing paper.

7 Operating the preset key

1 Press this key while the preset key
lamp is lit.
The lamp lights up when “0” is displayed on the
counter on the control panel.

feed bins and the number of feed bins
are displayed on the counter display.

3 The feed bin error lamp flashes on and

off on the control panel, if there are
any bins from which the paper has not
been fed.
For example, if there are four bins from which sheets
of paper are fed and two bins from which sheets of
paper are not fed, the following display appears.

bin to be used is changed or when the paper is
replaced.

7 Multiple feed detection function

When the preset key is pressed and paper is fed, the microprocessor will determine the
thickness of the paper while it is being fed to the paper receiving tray.
The multiple feed detection function takes the thickness of the paper first detected as the
reference data, compares it with paper fed thereafter, and determines it as multiple feed
when paper thickness differs.

Note
• When paper is multiple-fed during presetting, the multiple-fed paper will become the reference data, meaning that the
multiple feed detection function will not work properly.
When pressing the preset key, always check the number of sheets of paper fed.

• If the paper on the paper feed bin has been changed, press the preset key again.

Do not mix different papers on the paper feed

bin as the multiple feed detection function may
not work properly.
