COURSE OUTLINE

Subject Practical Research 1

A. Course Description

This course is designed to train students in qualitative research methodology — from conceptualization, through
design and sampling. It takes a step-by-step approach to the design and implementation of qualitative research. The
aim of this course is to provide lifelong learning among the students in which they will be able to develop critical
thinking and problem-solving skills.

B. Course Outcome

1. Explain the importance of research in daily life;


2. Describes characteristics, processes, and ethics of research;
3. Differentiates quantitative from qualitative research;
4. describe characteristics, strengths, weaknesses, and kinds of qualitative research;
5. Design a research project related to daily life;
6. Write a research title;
7. Justify the reasons for conducting the research;
8. State research questions;
9. Indicate scope and delimitation of research;
10. Cite benefits and beneficiaries of research;
11. Present written statement of the problem;
