Al finalizar el Bloque 1 valorarás el uso de los tiempos: Presente Simple, Presente Progresivo,
adjetivos, preposiciones y condicionales.
¡INICIEMOS!
My name's Edward and I live in Bristol with my wife and children. I'm a doctor. I look after
people's health. I see patients, prescribe medicines or treatments, talk to patients about how to
stay healthy, respond to emergencies, and I regularly read books and medical journals or take
classes to keep my knowledge up-to-date.
It's Monday morning and I'm reading a medical journal about a potential cancer cure. It's very
interesting! At the moment, I'm having a cup of tea and some biscuits in the coffee shop of the
hospital. My break usually finishes at twelve o'clock, and then I go back to see my patients.
I love my job because I'm a doctor and I use my knowledge and experience to help people to live
healthy lives. But I have to work very long hours and I have to be available for emergencies, what
makes difficult to stay with my family the whole weekend.

¡CONTINUEMOS!
Water is essential to life. It needs not to be spilt out. It is so important not to do it.
Besides water pollution is one of the most serious ecological threats we face today.
Water pollution happens when toxic substances enter water bodies such as lakes,
rivers, oceans and so on, getting dissolved in them, lying suspended in the water or
depositing on the bed. This degrades the quality of water .
Not only does this spill disaster for aquatic ecosystems, the pollutants also seep
through and reach the groundwater, which might end up in our households as
contaminated water we use in our daily activities, including drinking.
