Round off whole numbers to the nearest hundreds

SUCCESS CRITERIA
Round off, at least three whole numbers to the nearest hundreds correctly
Pre-lesson:-
1. Pupils observe the picture on page 32 and say stories about the picture

Activities:-
2. Teacher emphasizes on looking at tens and ones digit to round off three digit numbers
to the nearest tens
3. Pupils carry out simulation using basic blocks to round off number to the nearest tens
(HOTS)
PDPC ACTIVTIES 4. Teacher emphasizes that number in between two tens numbers in sequence need to
be rounded off to the nearest tens with bigger value
5. Teacher divides the pupils into small groups. Each group gets diferent line number card
and questions. Pupils round off the numbers as per instructions correctly. Pupils
discuss and present the findings in front of the class (21st CA)
