Instructions: Read and analyze the contents of the sample manual below.
Examine its unique characteristics such as the page layout, length, tone, content,
and word usage. Then, label the names of each part and write the type of
information provided in each part. Write your answer in the box.

1. TITLE PAGE. It has large bold Times New Roman letters with the chapter title
on the center and a moderate margin. The term "Users Guide" is mostly used for
"User Manual." It is effectively a book-length document that contains instructions
for installing, operating, or troubleshooting a piece of hardware or software. It's
simple to read and understand. A user guide form is simple to create.
3. SAFETY INSTRUCTION. These instructions facilitate safe and efficient use of the
product. Includes technical explanations of how the product works, what physical
or chemical principles are essential to its operation, and so on. Uses Times New
Roman font with the size of 12.
4. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. Presented in bullet style, with Times New Roman font
at size 12. Highlights dangerous activities or potential threats that may cause
equipment damage. The Warning sign is used to draw attention to certain risks
and precautions. Use a consistent and standard scheme of highlighting (bold,
caps, and so on). Instructions on how to install and operate the product are clear.
A comprehensive set of safety guidelines. A guidebook that complies with all legal
criteria. A design that corresponds to the customer's understanding.
Activity 2
Now that you have labeled the parts of the manual above, answer the
questions below. Limit your answers to 2-3 sentences only.
ANSWER: A user guide, often known as a user manual, is intended to help people
utilize a certain product, service, or application. It is often produced by a technician,
a product developer, or a member of a company's customer care team. User
manuals are frequently supplied with the purchase of appliances.
ANSWER: Manuals are divided into three sections: the front content, the body, and
the back matter. The title page, scope section, warnings and cautions, and a table
of contents are all included in the front page.
4. What types of sentences are commonly used in the different parts of the manual?
ANSWER: Most statements in manuals are in the imperative mood. This attitude is
used to request or demand that an activity be done. Imperatives are written in the
subject-verb-object sequence. However, in most cases, the subject can be omitted
when constructing a command.
Now, examine the sentences below and make the necessary revisions to
make clear and understandable imperative sentences. Write your answer on
