UB I READ

1) Introduction:
UB I READ is a project which assist universities in managing the
lectures and study materials for the students. The project aims at
simplifying the access of the video lectures, study material, sample
papers and college magazine for the students.

2) Scope and Objective:


The main purpose of this project to build an application program to
reduce the manual work for providing E-books, video lectures, study
material and syllabus to the students by their respected faculties.
The purpose of this project is to automate the existing manual system by
the help of computerized equipment and full-fledged computer
software, fulfilling their requirements, so that their valuable
data/information can be stored for a longer period with easy accessing
and manipulation of the same. The required software and hardware are
easily available and easy to work with.
Lecture/Study Material Management System, as described above, can
lead to error free, secure, reliable and fast management system. It can
assist the user to concentrate on their other activities rather to
concentrate on the record keeping. Thus, it will help organization in
better utilization of resources. The organization can maintain
computerized records without redundant entries. That means that one
need not be distracted by information that is not relevant, while being
able to reach the information.
Basically, the project describes how to manage for good performance
and better services for the clients.

The following works will become easier by this project and some extra
functionalities that will help in extracting more benefits:
 This project provides a platform for the integration of student,
staff, and administration.

 Administration and Staff can pass instructions and guidelines to


students easily.

 Provide a site for easy access of e-books, video lectures and study
material for the students.

 This project also provides sample papers and guest lectures for
better understanding and skill development.

 This project provides College Magazine where students, teachers


and guest faculty can give their articles and suggestions.

4) Project Schedule Plan:

The objective of Software Planning is to provide a framework


that enables the manager to make reasonable estimates of
resources, cost, and schedule. These estimates are made within a
limited time frame at the beginning of a software project and
should be updated regularly as the project progresses. In
addition, estimates should attempt to define best case and worst
case scenario so that project outcomes can be bounded.

Gantt Chart:

A Gantt chart is popular type of chart that illustrates a project


schedule. Gantt chart illustrates the start and finish dates of the
terminal elements and summary elements of a project. Terminal
element and summary comprise the work breakdown structure of
the project.

8) Conclusion
The project allows the user to store the E-Books, lecture notes and
Video lecture for the students’ better development of the skills. This
software package storing the details of all the data related to course
provided in college. The system is strong enough to withstand
regressive yearly operations under conditions where database is
maintained and cleared over a certain time span. The implementation of
the system in institution will considerably reduce data entry and time.
