Background about GGateway for Outsourcing IT

GGateway is an information technology outsourcing, women-led impact business established
in 2015. GGateway has an innovative model that incorporates job creation and capacity
building. With the support of the World Bank, our successful business model and reliable
operations have all combined to form a regional IT outsourcing hub.

GGateway provides tech university graduates in Palestine with 21st century ICT upskilling

programs and outsourcing job matching services, GGateway aims to close the gap between
graduates’ skill levels and job market demands.

About G- Talents project

GGateway will start implementing the G- Talents “Education for E-Employment” Programme
‫ﺪﻣ‬
that is part of Path to Economic Recovery: Facilitating Decent Jobs in the Gaza Strip
programme implemented by the United Nations Development Programme/ Programme of
Assistance to the Palestinian People (UNDP/PAPP) with funds from the Government of
Norway.
The program seeks to identify young talents to work online as freelancers, contractors, or
sustainable remote employees for international clients.
The project is targeting to train 120 trainees (50% Women) on 2 rounds by having 2 months of

intensive technical, freelancing, and English for Business training in each round, followed by
3 months of a hosting phase in co-working hosting spaces.

Scope of the Assignment:


GGateway under the Training components of G- Talents “Education for E-Employment
project” will train 120 trainees on (technical, freelancing, and English for Business) to
develop their skills in many disciplines related to the fields of information technology and
other specializations.
50% of trainees will be trained on non-programming tracks which include (Digital marketing,
Graphic Design, Virtual Assistant, WordPress.)

The rest 50% of trainees will be trained on programming tracks in computer software and web
development which includes (Front End Web Development (React.JS), Front End Web

Development (Angular), Backend Web Development (Python), and Back End Web
Development (Node.Js).

GGateway is in the process of selecting highly qualified trainers who have proven
experience as follows:
1. Technical mentor/trainer for Digital Marketing.
2. Technical mentor/trainer for Graphic Design.
3. Technical mentor/trainer for WordPress.
4. Technical mentor/trainer for Virtual Assistant.

6. Technical mentor/trainer for Front End Web Development (Angular)

Trainer Scope of Work / Description of the Assignment


‫ﺘﻘ‬
The Trainer is responsible for delivering several training hours on a set of technical skills
to a group of trainees according to a training plan and methodology which was designed
and agreed with GGateway’s Impact Department.

During the hosting phase, the coach is responsible for the delivery of coaching activities
‫ﺪﻣ‬
for the hosted trainees under the Education for E-Employment Project.

The coaching component aims to lift the hosted trainees’ technical capacity in a way that
helps them increase their job hunting in the freelancing world and increase their income
generation opportunities within the Capacity Building Program of the Enterprise.

Requirements & Qualifications


‫ﻮن‬

The application and recruitment process will verify each of the following requirements:
● Have a degree in ICT, Engineering, Business, or any other related field.
● Have 2-3 years of experience in the field.
● Prior coaching/Training experience preferred.
● Preferred to have basic level about freelancing platforms and writing proposals.
● Have an excellent command of both Arabic and English languages (especially writing).
● Good understanding of the freelancing platforms work.
● Energetic, initiator, and motivated person.

Tasks
Following the donor’s and the Enterprise policy and procedures, the Trainer and Coach are
responsible for training a group of trainees, delivering the required related knowledge and
techniques, and responsible for working with the hosted trainees according to the main
training and coaching plan and perform the following tasks:

● Preparing well-structured technical exam of the main and basic concepts related to the
chosen training track, as part of the selection process, the exam has to be designed to
take in consideration individual differences in term of difficulty levels (Simple,
moderate, advance).
● Work with GGatway Project Manager on defining required training topics and coaching
plan and preparing the needed outlines and pre content and methodologies.
● Deliver the total training hours for the training group. 5/hrs. / Day, 3 days /week in the
specific area of knowledge.
● Provide a coaching plan that includes the coaching topics and times for the grouped
coaching sessions.
● Provide needs assessment sessions to define trainees level and needs in the beginning

of hosting phase.

● Assist in trainees’ selection process/interviews and documentation for the project
training/Hosting.
● Provide evaluation report and results for trainees during training/Hosting phases.
● Stay accessible, committed, and engaged during the length of the program.

Deliverables:

The Evaluation of this service will be against producing the following:

● Training methodology that includes training outline.


● Training materials covering required topics.
● Assignment and Group project evaluation.
‫ﺪﻣ‬
● Reports on conducted workshops/training (ex. attendance sheets, pre & post-tests,
daily assignments, and regular projects…)

Time frame and Level of Effort


● The Trainer and Coach are required to deliver his service for 5 months (2 months training
and 3 months hosting) expected starting date on 15th March 2022 till 30th August 2022.

● The distribution of training days and coaching hours or sessions over the set duration can
be modified based on agreement with the project team.
● The Trainer and coach should submit all required deliverables during and after the hosting
phase end.

Evaluation and Criteria


● Prices 30%.
● Relevant Experience, scientific background, and Proposed Methodology of carrying the
assignment 70%.

Proposal Content
● Technical Proposal:

1. “Applicant Bio” and “CV” of the trainer which must highlight experience on similar
assignments.

2. Approach and methodology for carrying out the assignment. Provide a comprehensive
and detailed methodology on how the component will be carried out.
3. Sample of training material for the Technical field.
4. Freelancing Trainers must provide a link tree (includes freelance accounts).
