I. OBJECTIVES:
The students will be expected to:
1. Analyze the elements and principles of art in the
production of art and crafts inspired by the different
creative expression in Mindanao.
2. Recognize the creativity of various art and crafts from
different ethnicities.

Complete a modified picture puzzle of Minadanao’s map
with its tribes.
Instruction:
Sort the puzzle then put its tribes where they belong.

Our topic today is about arts and crafts of Mindanao


specifically the attire, textiles and tapestries.

“The teacher will give overview of Indigenous people in


Mindanao.

A. Activity
Draw Lots game!
There is 1 box in front of the class.
Printed Pictures and accessories of each tribe.
Instruction:
The leader of team will take the rolled paper and see s
inside the paper. The leader will relay to his/her members
he/she saw on the rolled paper. The members will then
get it from the huge box and paste it on the board.
Afterward each group will give insight of what the picture
is all about.
Each group will choose a reporter to give their insights.
(the students should recognize not just the textile itself
but also the elements and principles of art how it applies
to the different ethnicities).

dyed before weaving.

T’nalak Designs
Application: 1. Create a textile pattern that represents an image from
your imagination that imitates the t’nalak design on the
PowerPoint. Use landscape layout only.
Answer the following:
