2. Scope of Position
The Supplier Development Manager is responsible to execute missions for the Airbus supply chain and quality
teams providing the proximity, reactivity, presence and industrial expertise needed to drive development of
suppliers in Asia Pacific, with a particular focus on Malaysia/South East Asia and notably on Malaysia.
3. Key Responsibilities
1 Accountable to execute missions & projects with the objective to improve supplier’s
performances on Quality, Cost & Deliveries.
To develop supplier maturity and competence on Quality, On Time Delivery to meet Airbus

requirement and expectation
To provide the actual status of suppliers’ supply chain &quality competence with “go-look-see”,

develop appropriate suggestion for improvement.
Use Harmonized supply chain processes, practices, methods, tools and records among the Airbus
5 entities for the whole Supplier base and encompassing the total life cycle from pre-qualification
phase to serial deliveries, and Supplier Quality problem solving for aircraft in service.
Perform/Support various Audits (Special process) and Assessments (Industrial Process Control

Assessment Plus, Capacity Contingency Planning etc.)
Background and Skills
Min. Education:
Bachelor degree in Technical ( Preferred) or
Business
Other Qualifications/Skills:
Strong operational management skills, in particular in Supply Chain & Quality- incl. "Supply chain

management/Lean/6 Sigma" .knowledge to efficiently manage supply chain related activities.
Experience on Shop floor operations, Manufacturing process, supply chain management, Lean, Six
2 Sigma, Quality management, Quality problem solving, Project Management are required and
certifications will add additional advantage.
Communication and language skills enabling to act internationally and at all levels of the
4 organizations.
