Good morning to everyone.

I would grasp this honour today to tell

all about the side effects of the pandemic. In the midst of the
coronavirus pandemic, explaining how all the uncertainty, zoom
calls, and facemask-wearing is taking its toll on mental health.

Ladies and gentlemen,

First of all, the day to enjoy a routine and the sense of

stability destroyed by the pandemic. It has sickened more than
176 million people worldwide. More than 3.8 million people have
died so far. Needless to say, good-ole Covid-19 has devastated
everyone routine and sense of stability. The precautions and a
new way of living caused by Covid-19 have served as accessories
to this wreckage.

These excessive hesitating moments are due to lack of a

regular routine, the staples of life being on hold, the stress caused
by the uncertainty about Covid-19, and spending too much time
worrying about how bad the second wave occurs in many people
lives are floating as the work schedule has changed too many
people. As someone who had the same schedule for two years
and liked it, that adjustment took some getting used to. Realising
that pre-Covid-19 life is not returning anytime soon is causing
more undue stress and anxiety, resulting in more stuttering.

Next, mostly the excitement of life changed to fear. Many of

them have questioned such as "what if I or someone I love gets
the coronavirus?"  For the past year, people have been super
cautious about whom they are seeing, where they are going, what
they are touching and how quickly they can wash their hands, that
they are not fully enjoying what they are doing. They also spend
too much time longing for a return to some sense of normality.

Dear audiences,

Like the rest of the world, Zoom and google meeting, Webex
has become a staple of people’s life. For example, the current
trend of online learning happens via google meet. The teacher
who works in the school and classroom instead of teaching in-
person now does it via Zoom as the students and teacher miss
the intimacy and connection that comes with in-person meetings.
Not many of them familiar with online learning and teaching.
Some require time to engaged and used to online learning. Most
of the teachers had a question like, "If I am uncomfortable with
this, then how uncomfortable is my students?" However, they try
and remind themselves that their students care more about the
content of the message and not so much about its delivery.

Lastly, the subsequent culture of the pandemic is wearing a

mask. As we all should be doing, people are constantly wearing a
mask outside and at work. People understand and appreciate the
reasoning, but it sucks. When they are out in public, it's not that
big of a deal because masks help people to speak less and leave.
They may make small talk with the cashier, but that's about it.
However, work is a whole other story. Their voice is muffled,
which causes them to speak louder or repeat themselves before
their coworkers hear them. Whenever they have to speak louder,
they tend to stutter more. Another reason people hate wearing
masks is that they cannot see their audience's reaction, nor can
they see non-verbal cues to let them know that nothing is wrong
with them are severely limited because of their mask.

It can be concluded that the crazy rollercoaster journey due

to covid-19 can be curb if people have patience and awareness to
overcome this pandemic. There is no magic pill to get rid covid-19
but embracing it safely with precautions.

Thank you.
