EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL: A REFLECTION PAPER

Many people say that, "What a father can do, a son should be able to do too". But don't
you know the word "individual differences"? Even in the title, every child is special.
Everyone has different skills, no child has exactly the same dreams or abilities as their
parents. Every child has his own personality. Every child tries to do the best he can in
his life. First of all, every child has his own dream. But the main factor to think about is,
let's get to know his dreams. The truth is, as a child, we lack stability, patience, and
understanding.

Ishaan is a good son, but due to his disability - dyslexia, he is a stupid learner. He is
good at drawing and has the ability to think outside the box. They always bullied him for
his naughty and mischievous attitude. and a good artist. At his school, he was always
scolded by teachers because he had the lowest test scores and he was always angry.
They don't understand him. One day, when the teacher asked him to read, he replied
that the letters were dancing. And just like that, he was sent away to a boarding school.
An art teacher helped him build his confidence in the form of art. By the end of the story,
he has advanced artistically and can read normally. He can read well. One of the main
issue or problems that is really happening in our society is that Special Children like
Ishaan are being neglected and bullied. While we cannot avoid having a child like
Ishaan, so we should accept and nurture it. Being aware of their strengths can help us
realize that they are also important and that we should put our trust in them that one day
they can be successful too. Instead of letting them down, cheer them up. Make them
feel like we support them.

As a Psychology major, somehow this movie touched me in an extraordinary way, and it

breaks my heart to see that the important people the Ishaan thought who would
understand him, are the very same people who judged him and don't understand his
problems. But I can't really judge parents, they just want the best for their child and
that's why they push and discipline him so hard at the same time. It touches people's
hearts while giving hope that dyslexia is not a desperate and hopeless situation.
