Community Pantry in Quezon City was hailed as one of the “real-life heroes” of the pandemic.
On April 14, 2021, 15 months after the first lockdown,
she had set up a bamboo cart packed with vegetables and food products on Maginhawa Street in Quezon City which she called a “community pantry.” Through this, the poor who needed food could get some for free. In order for the simple act to carry on and motivate bayanihan, she wrote in a cardboard: Photo from Ana Patricia Non ”Magbigay ayon sa kakayahan, kumuha batay sa pangangailangan." "Tingin ko hindi sapat 'yong nakukuha ng mga Pilipino sa government. So kailangan talaga gumawa ng action 'yong private citizen lalo na kung may means." Organization

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Council (NDRRMC), Paeng caused landslides and flash floods in many parts of the country, and massive flooding also caused the deaths of some 121 people. With this, Angat Buhay, a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded by former vice president Leni Robredo, has raised almost P8 million in cash and in-kind donations to help the communities affected by the severe tropical storm "Paeng" on November 2, 2022.
