APPENDIX

Basic requirements that must be fulfilled before the start of installation.

Hardware requirements

All servers meet the below mentioned requirements

Scenario Configuration
Server providing a print job spooling functionality Dual Core 2GHz or faster processor
(server has any or all of available server roles installed) 8GB free RAM
1Gbps network connection (LAN)
100GB of free disk space (after installation)
Connection to storage with a throughput of at least
150MB/s and 300 IOPS

Server not providing a print job spooling functionality Dual Core 2GHz or faster processor
(server has any or all of available server roles installed) 8GB free RAM
1Gbps network connection (LAN)
20 GB of free disk space
Connection to storage with a throughput of at least
150MB/s and 100 IOPS

APPENDIX

Software requirements

All servers meet the below mentioned requirements

If virtual servers (e.g. VMware ESX or Microsoft Hyper-V) are used, following conditions are met:
1. Virtual machine resources are dedicated ( virtual machines with shared resources may not handle the load and can significantly
impact end user operations).
2. Virtual machines that are cloned are cloned/generalized in compliance with http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314828
One of the following MS Windows operating systems is used:
2012 x64 / 2012 R2 x64 / 2016 x64 / 2019 x64 / 2022 x64
Administrative rights to Microsoft Windows will be provided at the time of installation.
.NET 4.8 and the latest MS Windows security patches are installed.
No other software installed except as agreed by Y Soft.
Static IP addresses reservation for all YSoft SafeQ servers exists. Should the hostnames be used anywhere in the environment,
hostnames do not contain diacritics characters.
All Management Servers are in the same time zone as database engine.
All Site Servers are in the same time zone (IB-2668).
Site Servers have "Turn off Automatic Root Certificates Update" policy enabled (gpedit.msc - required for embedded terminals).
The latest version of web browser to access the management and end user interface is installed (IE, Chrome or Firefox).
If parsing of PostScript jobs is required, Ghostscript parser 9.0+ (open source) is installed on Spool Servers by customer.
No web server is installed on YSoft SafeQ server (If installed, it does not listen on TCP port 80).
If antivirus protection is installed on the server or workstation with YSoft SafeQ software, exceptions and indexation are and will be
set according to the documentation, chapter "Antivirus Settings". Regular off-line tests (outside print peak, e.g. 3:00 a.m.) are
recommended.
If firewall is used to control network trafic within the environment, port exceptions are set according to the documentation, chapter
"Network Communication". Should there be a reason to use non-default ports, exceptions for them are set as well.
Customer will make sure that any type of vulnerability scanning on the production environment will be carried out only when the full
functionality after such a scan has been verified in the testing environment. Otherwise the scanning will be done outside of working
hours and YSoft SafeQ services will be restarted afterwards.
If UDP multicast SPOC group is required (default is TCP), multicast is preconfigured in advance for all servers in the group.

Other
The license has been ordered by the Y Soft partner and will be provided at the time of installation.
Installation files will be downloaded in advance from http://portal.ysoft.com and present locally on target servers.

Device related requirements that must be fulfilled before the start of installation.

Printers / MFDs
Partner confirms all the devices that will be deployed are certified as compatible in Y Soft Hardware Compatibility List
(http://portal.ysoft.com).
All the devices have static IP address assigned and are connected to the network.
All the devices are properly registered in the DNS or WINS server. Reverse DNS is set up and yields the same results on all YSoft
SafeQ servers. Translation of IP address to hostname/FQDN using standard Windows features (DNS/NetBIOS) works.
