DOSF Final Project Guide
DOSF Final Project Guide
A Tutor will manually grade your work and will discuss the details with you.
PLEASE NOTE:
You will have 1 attempt to do this test so please be thorough, be specific and give us as much
information as possible.
Project overview
In this project, we are going to ask you to submit the best emulsion you have made up until now. You
will need to present your work, detail your formulation and ingredient choices, we will ask you about
your target customers, labelling and packaging. Please follow the project questions to make sure you
include all the information. This project will encompass every part of the course.
This assignment is not timed so feel free to open the project and think about your answer. You may
even need to alter your formula and work on your emulsion a bit more after reading this guide.
Please type your answers into the system and use the attachment option for pictures only.
Your formulation
We hope you already have a great formula since you are expected to formulate throughout the
course. For us to be able to evaluate your work properly, we are giving you some pointers below:
As this is the final assignment, we would like you to present us your best work ever.
Please remember that we can only grade you on what you tell us so make sure you include all the
information that can make your assignment better. For example, if you use an extract, please tell us
what type of extract it is ( glycerite, CO2, etc). If you use unusual ingredients, please tell us more
about them so we can learn with you.
PLEASE NOTE:
In case of a failed assignment, the Tutor will give you some feedback on the areas you need to
improve. The second (and final) attempt can only be started with the permission of the Tutor and only
1 week after you receive your feedback. No more attempts will be allowed.
Please allow one week for grading but the best option is to submit your Final Assignment at least one
month before the course expiry date. This is to ensure you can get your feedback and can collect
your certificate.
Please note that formulas that are a direct copy or have a strong resemblance to our sample
formulas in the course will be considered plagiarism. Please read our Plagiarism Policy in the
Student Library-Student Information.
Good luck!
