Science is a methodical approach to learning about a particular topic of study.

Through a defined plan of observation and experimentation, it helps us to gain
knowledge. It never proves anything because it is always open to new facts and
new ways of seeing things. However, evidence can be very strong and provide a
high degree of confidence or validity in certain things. It is about coming up with an
explanation of how reality works. Through science, we develop technologies.
Technology is the actual application of scientifically acquired knowledge. It can be
characterized as the services, equipment, and procedures used to minimize human
effort and assist individuals in increasing productivity in their daily lives.

Science and technology are gifts to humanity. Science and technology are
pervasive and omnipotent in every part of our life. It is used in practically every
aspect of our everyday lives, including work, communication, transportation,
education, manufacturing, data security, company scaling, and so much more. It has
made life simpler, made us feel more comfortable, and allowed us to live in the
modern world.

According to Plato (428 BC - 347 BC) in his masterwork The Republic,
“Necessity is the mother of invention.” We can apply this maxim to the development
of science and technology. Society needs a device. Science and technology are
applied to invent it. Science and technology are used to improve it. Science and
technology are applied in finding a substitute. Why? To satisfy an insatiable society .
It responds to the needs and interests of the societies in which it takes place.
Similarly, scientists are directly influenced by the interests and needs of society and
often direct their research towards topics that will serve the society. Without need,
expressed as demand, few people are interested and nobody is prepared to pay the
costs of development. Since scientific research takes money, it will need funding.
Naturally, if society did not care about it and did not believe it was necessary, they
would not spend money on it. Therefore, science and technology is based on what
the society needs or demands, what society is prepared to pay, and the readiness of
the society to accept new ideas. This does not imply that societal needs alone are
solely responsible for the advancement of science and technology. Other elements,
like discoveries, have influenced the progress of science and technology, but society
has influenced its application, or the society determines whether to utilize it or not.
But all in all, society will always have an effect on the direction and state of science
and technology.

3. They say that the only constant in the world is change. In the past years, we’ve
seen how the world has changed in astonishing ways. It is continuously evolving
day by day. To survive in this world we need to adapt. All living organisms,
including humans, plants, animals and bacteria, must be able to adapt to their
environment or they will die. In order to adapt, we need to understand the world
we live in and the changes that take place around us. Additionally, whether we
like it or not, what is happening in our surroundings will have an impact on us
directly or indirectly. Therefore, we must continue to read, to be aware, to be
curious, and look for solutions. These knowledge we acquire could lead us to a
better world to live in.
