EXPERIENCE
Software Engineering Intern Jun 2022 - Aug 2022
NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston, TX
● Updated avionics testing software to fix various bugs using the python programming
language
● Configured and programmed on a field-programmable gate array to add ethernet
communication using the C programming language
Student Researcher Feb 2021 - Present
Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium, Kenosha, WI
Modal Propellant Gauging Research (MPG): a lightweight, non-invasive fuel gauging method
MPG-PROTO Project Manager
● With the team, performed and documented launch vibration testing, leak testing, and
systems testing
● Prepared payload for and assisted in data collection on multiple parabolic flights
● Created, implemented, and tested an XML file for use on an integrated payload
controller that was to be utilized during a sub-orbital spaceflight
● Assisted in the development of new payload control software and subsequent
implementation of the new embedded system
● Maintained extensive documentation of all information related to the payload including,
but not limited to, all payload materials, functions of various components, and operation
procedures
MPG-ISS Mechanical Engineer
● Assemble various mechanical components of the experiment, including tank mounts,
pumps and tubing, and electronics deck
● Assisted in performing and documenting tests of various subsystems
● Used CAD modeling software to update old models and create new models
RockSat-C Team Member
Objective: measure capillary flow along different contact angles in microgravity achieved with a
sounding rocket and compare that data to the simulation software SimFlow in order to test its
validity
● Assisted in designing and assembling the payload for both ground testing and
microgravity data collection
● Worked with 3D printing software to make various components of our payload
● Performed and documented electromagnetic interference testing, vibration testing, and
leak testing
● Regularly met with the program manager to report on the status of our payload and
review subsystem testing and mission simulation results
