Materials are verified to have current Saudi Aramco approval &
conform to SAP code specified in coating system (APCS) in SAES-H-
101V. SAES-H-001
A1 Note: Verify approved brand or source of material, refer to SAP using Para. 4 (Approve
transaction code ZM0800. Product)

Paint Containers are marked and labeled in Arabic and English for:
1) Manufacturer's Name.
2) Product Identification.
3) Material Master Number 9COM or 9CAT. 09-SAMSS-060

4) Shelf Life or Expiry date (For maximum storage Temp* of 35ºC). Para 5.1 & 5.2
5) Date of Manufacture.
6) Batch Number.

Materials (coatings, thinner, etc) for each coating system are supplied SAES-H-001

by same Manufacturer unless approved by CSD. Para 9.2.4
Paints exceeding shelf life are removed from the stock. SAES-H-001

The type of abrasive procured conforms to the cleanliness and surface


profile requirements of the coatings applied as specified in APCS

Note: Sand as a blasting abrasive is not permitted in accordance with Para. 6.3.2
GI-0006.021.

Abrasive materials specification and qualification requirements shall be


in accordance with ISO 11126 and ISO 11127 series. SAES-H-001

Note: Verify brand or source of mat'l, refer to SAP transaction code Para. 6.3.3

The abrasive material certificates are available and it confirms that:


1. Sulfate content is less than 50 PPM. SAES-H-001

2. Chloride is less than 50 PPM, and 0.1 0% by weight of calcium Para.8.2.1
carbonate.

C Recycled Abrasives

When Recycled Garnet is used it is cleaned using CSD approved

C1 recycling Equipment & Procedures.

C2 Reclaimed slag abrasives is prohibited and shall not be used.

Note 1: Three currently approved Red Garnet suppliers (With Equipment for Red Garnet Recycling & Distribution) are:
1. GMA Garnet (General Int'l Resources) - Approved Supplier & Recycling System (Equipment)
2. Bengal Bay (Western Garnet Int'l). - Approved Supplier Only

3. Garnet Arabia Company Ltd - Approved Supplier & Distributor of Recycled Red Garnet
