SUBJECT : Initial Investigation Report on Robbery Incident at YEN


Construction
DATE : March 19, 2023
1. On March 19, 2023, ENGR. NESTOR P. RICO reported and complained to
this station that a robbery incident transpired at YEN Construction, with
office address at 124 ENCM Bldg., Rizal Avenue, Sta. Cruz, Manila,
wherein the robbers destroyed the back window of one of the toilets of his
store and stole 1000 bags of cement, 30 wheel barrows and a cash
amounting to Php200, 000.00. He suspects that the culprit is one of his
helpers, named Jonathan Mahilum and a certain Andrew Torres were
former employees of Engr. RICO. According to him they both have previous
record of thefts at Muntinlupa Police Station and were dismissed on the job
due to dishonesty and use of illegal drugs.
2. A witness identified as NANDING TABANAO saw the suspects used an
owner type jeep, stainless, with 2 other companions inside the jeep at
around 2am in the morning, during the time of Incident.
3. The suspects was arrested in the house during hot pursuit operation
conducted, and the stolen items was recovered except the Php200,000.00,
and they are now under custody of the station for investigation and proper
disposition.
4. The motive of the incident is to revenge for their dismissal.

DATE : April 24, 2023

1. This has reference to Memorandum Initial Investigation Report on Robbery


Incident at YEN Construction, dated March 19, 2023.
2. On March 19, 2023, ENGR. NESTOR P. RICO reported and complained to
this station that a robbery incident transpired at YEN Construction, with
office address at 124 ENCM Bldg., Rizal Avenue, Sta. Cruz, Manila,
wherein the robbers destroyed the back window of one of the toilets of his
store and stole 1000 bags of cement, 30 wheel barrows and a cash
amounting to Php200, 000.00. He suspects that the culprit is one of his
helpers, named Jonathan Mahilum and a certain Andrew Torres were
former employees of Engr. RICO. According to him they both have previous
record of thefts at Muntinlupa Police Station and were dismissed on the job
due to dishonesty and use of illegal drugs.

remain unidentified.
4. The suspects Jonathan Mahilum and Andre Torres is currently detained
admitted the crime in their 2 sworn statements. And a case of Robbery in
violation of Article 293 of the Revised Penal Code is pending for trial.
5. The case is already raffled at Branch 122 of Las Piñas City Metropolitan
Trial Court.

1. This has reference to Memorandum Initial Investigation Report on


Robbery Incident at YEN Construction, dated March 19, 2023 and
Progress Report dated April 24, 2023
2. On March 19, 2023, ENGR. NESTOR P. RICO reported and
complained to this station that a robbery incident transpired at YEN
Construction, with office address at 124 ENCM Bldg., Rizal Avenue, Sta.
Cruz, Manila, wherein the robbers destroyed the back window of one of
the toilets of his store and stole 1000 bags of cement, 30 wheel barrows
and a cash amounting to Php200, 000.00. He suspects that the culprit is
one of his helpers, named Jonathan Mahilum and a certain Andrew
Torres were former employees of Engr. RICO. According to him they
both have previous record of thefts at Muntinlupa Police Station and
were dismissed on the job due to dishonesty and use of illegal drugs.

4. Facts reveal that there was a driver, but was not a participant as he was
just commandeered by the suspects.
5. The suspects Jonathan Mahilum and Andre Torres is currently detained
admitted the crime in their 2 sworn statements. And a case of Robbery
in violation of Article 293 of the Revised Penal Code is pending for trial.
6. The case is already raffled at Branch 122 of Las Pinas City Metropolitan
Trial Court.
7. The accused was arraigned on 25 May 2023 where he plead Guilty and
the case was set for pre-trial on 30 May 2023.
