    TLE 8 (Nail Care)

    I. OBJECTIVES
    1. Content Standard
    The learner demonstrates understanding in nail shapes in Nail Care Services.
    2. Performance Standard
    The learner independently practice nail shapes in Nail Care Services.

    Topic: Structures and shapes of the nail
    Reference: K-12 BEC TLE (Nail Care) pp. 94-95
    Materials: PowerPoint, Visual Arts and Pictures

    A. Preparatory Activities

    3. Classroom Management
    Before you take your seat, kindly pick up the
    pieces of papers and arrange your chair properly.

    4. Checking of Attendance None Ma’am

    B. Motivation
    Class let’s have a game! The game is entitled “Fix
    me, I’m Broken”. I will group you into four (4). (the students will do the activity)
    Each group will choose nail polish and at the back
    of the nail polish have cut-out pictures, wherein
    you are going to fix it. After fixing it, post your
    output on the board.

    Let’s check if your answers are correct.


    We see different shapes of nail Ma’am.
    What did you notice about the pictures posted on
    the board?

    Exactly! And that is something to do with our


    lesson for today.

    C. Presentation of the Lesson


    Class our topic for today is all about the Nail
    Structures and let’s also finds out the shapes of
    the nails.
    The covering at the end of a finger or toe.
    D. Lesson Proper
    Class, how do you define nail?
    Very good! Ma’am we cannot do normal activity that we usually do.

    What if we don’t have nails?


    That’s right! Ma’am doing laundry, washing dishes, and many other
    household chores.

    I will give you an Activity sheets with the same (Each group will represent their outputs in front).

    apply all the shapes that we discuss a while ago.
    What you will do is to cut the nails to present the
    different shapes of the nail.
