A. Content Standard:
The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of axiomatic structure of
geometry and triangle congruence.

Performance Standard:
The learner is able to communicate mathematical thinking with coherence and clarity in
formulating, investigating, analyzing, and solving real-life problems involving congruent
triangles using appropriate and accurate representations.

B. Learning Competencies:
Applies triangle congruence to construct perpendicular lines and angle bisectors.

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students must be able to:
1. Define and construct angle bisector;
2. Solve for the corresponding parts of triangle using its properties; and
3. Show understanding in doing the assigned tasks.

Activity 1
Before we proceed to our next topic, let us do the first activity entitled “Pass the
Crumpled Papers!”
Directions: Using the ball-like crumpled papers, pass it to your classmates as the
music starts. The one who is holding it when the music stops, he/she will peel the
crumpled paper once then will answer what’s on the paper.

Activity 2 (DISCUSSION)
A. Definition of Angle Bisector
The angle bisector of a triangle is a line segment that is drawn from the vertex of a
triangle to the opposite side. The angle bisector of a triangle divides the bisected angle
into two equal measures. Every triangle has three angle bisectors since it has three
angles.

B. Constructing angle bisector.


1. Play a video on how to construct angle bisector.
2. Encourage the students to construct angle bisector on their own using compass,
ruler, and pencil.

C. Solving corresponding parts of triangle using properties of angle bisector.
