II. LEARNING CONTENT

Topic: Emotions

LESSON PROPER
A. Activity Activity 1: CHARADES
(Elicit learner’s prior knowledge) The teacher will prepare word cut-outs of different types of emotions
and roll them to be shuffled in a box. The teacher will group the
classroom into two, and each student in each group will take turns to
guess what type of emotions were shown by the student standing in
front. Each group will be given 5 minutes to guess as many as they
can. The group who guesses more than the other will be hailed as the
winner and each member will receive a star.

C. Abstraction

A procedure on teaching a lesson on the grade 1 students about


emotions using PowerPoint presentation, Discussion and Question
and answer is as follow:

1. Play a short clip showcasing different types of emotions and


ask student to familiarize the emotions being shown.

2. Discuss the different types of emotions (e.g., happy, frustrated,


upset, ect.) in the PowerPoint Presentation.

3. Ask the students for the feelings and emotions they caught
from the short clip.

4. Follow the discussion with questions and answer sessions to


review the main points and further discussion.

Conclude the lesson by summarizing the main points.

D. Application Activity 2: ROLE-PLAY


The teacher will display one image of a scenario and demonstrate the
type of appropriate facial expressions in front. After that, the teacher
will ask for 10 students to go in front and ask students to role-play
according to a scenario shown in the PowerPoint presentation.

For example, feeling happy, sad, angry, and shocked.

IV. Evaluation

The teacher will ask the students to get one sheet of paper, write their
name, grade, and section. (Instructions and questions will be flashed
to the board and students will be given 10 minutes to answer.)
