Dear Mr. Bogdanov

Regarding Cape Bari:

The parts for modification of lubricators are ready for shipment, so soon as
we have a delivery address the parts will be send.
Please inform a delivery address.
The modification does not need a engineer from our side, but can be made by
the engine staff.
The modification include mounting of 2 disc, and 1 orifice in each
lubricator.
On the encl drawing "Lubricator" the disc are marked no.1 and no.2., also
the orifice to be inserted in the solenoid valves port "P" is marked.
On the encl draw "Orifice" it is marked which way to mount the orifice in
port "P".

Regarding Cape Bastia:

The parts for modification of the lubricators has been send to Honolulu,
Hawai.

Regarding Cape Bonny and Cape Brindisi:

The lubricators will be modified before delivery.

Dear Mr. Nerenst,

Thanks for your prompt reply. Please inform whether modification will be
carried out by engine staff after delivery the subject items or your service
engineer has to attend as well.
Shall we consider both vessels Bari and Bastia for modification and what is
your opinion for next Bonny and Brindisi?

Dear SAL
Please arrange to forward modification parts for ME Alpha lubricators
,(Ordered by LNW to this ship), consisting of steel shims and orifices for E
type Alpha lubricators.

Dear O. Bogdanov.
Hereby confirm that we have evaluated a damaged ME Type Alpha lubricator
forwarded to us earlier, and we have decided to introduce Steel Washers
below main piston return spring. The purpose is to reduce the friction
between spring and housing and hereby ensure that the main spring not will
turn the main piston during compression, and hereby affect the alignment of
the small pumping pistons.
Additional we have introduced a small damper orifice in the solenoid valve
for activation of the main piston, in order to have a slightly slower
activation time and hereby longer time for initial self alignment of the
pumping piston packages.
Please inform ETA and agent details and we will arrange to forward the
required parts and rebuild above plant.

The two latest Alpha lubricators forwarded are already modified accordingly.

Dear HDK
Please arrange to forward updated page to instruction book regarding ME
Alpha lubricator with spacers below main return spring.

Best regards
Peter B Nerenst

Dear Capt Andreas, Ognyan,

Pls find attached zipped file for Guarantee Claim No 037 - ME Unit No 1 cyl
lubricator individual pump plunger broken. Looks like the desision to open
up all rest units taken in proper time. Pls liaise with maker regarding our
symptoms and support us with troublshooting information. The lubricator
detailed spares requisition is already issued and sent to Mrs Kohl. Present
time one complete lubricator we have in spare stock. The Unit No 5,6 left
for inspection. Will be done at anchore, if time permits

p.s Very interesting that above lubricator has not any model name, ser No,
type and so on. And I am not sure that this is Alfa lubricator.

Thanks in advance
