1 INTRODUCTION
This is the Product Specification for the Enclosure.
1.1 PURPOSE
Provide a clear and complete definition of the sourced product for both a technical
overview and contractual agreements. The document may also be part of Ericsson’s
documents for performance of quality control of incoming goods.
1.2 TARGET READER

Technical staff responsible for technical maintain and technical product releases,
global supply and sourcing staff, quality personnel and the commercial staff.
2 GENERAL
The Enclosure is a stand-alone cabinet a temperature controlled/physically
protected environment.
The enclosure is designed to protect the user equipment against water and dust
and contact with live or moving parts and the internal equipment against ingress of
solid foreign bodies.
The enclosure as well as its door consists of a welded sheet metal structures made
of Aluzinc steel. The standard paint is Ericsson colour, NCS 2002-G.
The enclosure is both dust and water tight in operation.
The cooling system is a Heat Exchanger system.
The enclosure contains an AC-distribution with optional Service Outlet, a DC input
distribution unit, a complete Power System, HEX cooling System, space for user
equipment and an optional Heater. It also contains a DIN-rail for mounting the ESC
03 02.
The enclosure can be mounted on site in three different ways – installation frame
for concrete floor/basement – wall mounting - pole mounting.
The enclosure is approved for EQ zone 4.
2.1 DESCRIPTION OF UNITS IN THE SYSTEM

This chapter describes the hardware units and components that are included in the
cabinet.
AC distribution unit. Located in the mid part of the cabinet, this compartment is
dedicated for all the installation components necessary to connect the installed
systems to the AC source and the optional service outlet.
The Power system. Located in the top part of the cabinet, this compartment is
dedicated for rectifiers, solar MPPTs, the NCU power system controller and circuit
breaker for connection to the DC-loads and batteries.
The user equipment compartment. Located in the bottom part of the cabinet
contains a rack for 4U of 19” equipment and the optional heater.
Cable inlet. All cables to and from the cabinet is going through the cable inlets
placed in the bottom of the cabinet.

- MC35 consist of 1 x 17-32mm,
16 x 10-14mm,
2 x 6-10mm,
2 x 12-18mm,
14 x 7-12mm,
- PG sizes: 3 x PG16,
1 x PG29,
4 x rubber cable grommet for size 14-20mm for battery cables
- 4 x M25 holes are available in the floor for Ericsson cable inlets for optical / signal
cables.
