**Exploring Your Flying School Options**

**A) Algoa Flying School**

**Private Pilot License (PPL):**


The PPL is the initial level to achieve before piloting an
aircraft with passengers. It caters to private individuals
and aspiring Commercial Pilots aiming to accumulate
flight hours. Qualifications include being at least 17 years
old, possessing a valid Student Pilot License, holding a
class one or two medical certificate, passing a practical
flight test, and fulfilling the required flight hours.

**Minimum Requirements:**
- Age: 17 and above
- Medical Certificate: Class 1 or 2
- Radiotelephony Certificate: Restricted or General
- Student Pilot License: Valid
- Language Proficiency Certificate: ICAO level 4
- Flight Hours: Total 45 hours, including 25 dual hours, 15
solo hours, and 5 cross country PIC hours

**Night Rating:**

instruction, performing night take-offs/landings, and
conducting a night cross country flight.

**Requirements:**
- Valid Student Pilot License
- Theoretical training: 5 hours
- Dual instrument flight instruction: 10 hours (including 5
hours in approved FSTD)
- Night cross country flight: Minimum 150nm, 2 full stop
landings at distinct aerodromes

**Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Night Rating:**


The CPL enables commercial flying, with Single Engine
VFR/IR or Multi Engine VFR/IR options, each having
distinct benefits. Requirements include being 18 years old,
holding a class 1 medical certificate, having a Private Pilot
License, Night Rating, accumulating 200 flight hours
(including cross country, instrument, and PIC hours), and
passing ATPL subjects' exams.

**Instrument Rating:**
An Instrument Rating is crucial for flying safely in
adverse weather conditions, relying solely on instruments.
Requirements comprise a valid Private Pilot License with
a night rating, a minimum of 40 hours instrument flight
time (including 20 hours in approved simulators), and
passing SA-CAA exams.

**Multi-Engine Rating:**
