Course Description: This course comprises of the Steering Control System, Marine Echosounding Equipment, Speed Measurement Equipment, Automati
System Equipment, Voyage Data Recorder Equipment, Bridge Navigational Watch Alarm System, Principles of Navigational Watch, Bridge Watchkeeping,
Avoidance, Keeping a Radio Watch, Principles of Ship reporting Systems and the VTS Procedures, Bridge Resource Management, and Blind Pilotage.
Course Outcomes:
CO1: Explain the operational procedures of steering control systems and the selection of the mode of steering suitable for the prevailing weather, sea an
conditions and intended maneuvers.
