SWE QUARTERLY

LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT

TABLE OF CONTENTS
Hello and welcome to the Summer 2023
Quarterly Newsletter! After over three years
Membership • Pg 2 on the board, my first term as Drexel SWE
President has been anything but ordinary. This
term, Drexel SWE officers completed their
Professional Development • Pg 3 duties from all across the country and the
world. For this reason, coordination of our
typical organizational responsibilities called for
Networking • Pg 3
a heightened level of communication and care.
At the close of this quarter, I am proud to say
Wellsness • Pg 4 we conducted a number of events, with both in-
person and virtual programming.

Diversity & Inclusion • Pg 4

Summer is a time for transition and preparation, with a completely new set of
leaders instated across the board. While directors got acquainted with their
Outreach • Pg 5, 6 new roles, their chairs were introduced to the organization, many for the first
time. Most of all, at the start of this term, the Outreach Committee
underwent its second reorganization. While formerly structured as two
MiSWEllaneous • Pg 7 directors, outreach and high school mentorship, each with a respective chair,
the new and improved Outreach Committee exists as one Vice President of
Outreach followed by two sub-committees, Organizational and School
Officers • Pg 8 partnerships. We look forward to this reorganization in the upcoming year to
expand our Outreach capabilities and better distribute responsibilities.

Acknowledgements • Pg 9
Looking forward, there is much to anticipate in the 23-24 academic year. The
------------------------------ executive board has focused its efforts in the Summer Term on the WE23
conference, occurring in the Fall Term. Furthermore, the Drexel SWE
[email protected] networking programs, collegiate, professional, and high school, will all kick off
in the next few months. Please enjoy this summary of the previous term and
connect with us again during our Welcome Week events.
