1. Play a circle game ( a whole class activity where pupils sit or stand in a
large circle ) to review numbers up to twelve.
2. Introduce telling the time ( on the hour and half past ) using the board or
toy clocks if available. See Teacher’s Book p.24, Warm up. Pupils can stay
in a circle for this stage
3. Continue the lesson with Vocabulary and Grammar box ( See Teacher’s

3. Teacher introduces the pupils to the two main characters of the book,
Anna and Greg in textbook, page 6. Teacher plays the CD1- track 7 once.
Pupils shadow read the story. (Play the CD again, read along with the CD).
4. Teacher asks comprehension questions:
(a) Where are the children? (on a school trip to the museum).
(b) What is happening to the children? (The children are going to the
museum where Greg scares them.)
(c) Who is sitting next to Greg? (Carlos)
(d) Where is Carlos from? (Mexico)
(e) Who is Korean? (Sandy)
5. Pupils read the story again and match each picture to the corresponding
sentence. (Activity 3,in page 7). Pupils compare and check their answers.
6. Pupils read again and act out the story for the class. (Activity 2, page 6)

100. If some are having difficulty, build in extra practice in this lesson (see
step 2) and in the next few lessons.
4. Consider setting a homework task related to this.
5. Follow with Activity 1 (Teacher’s Book p.20). Pupils read the text as they
listen by tracking the words on the page with their finger as they listen to the
recording.
6. Then follow Teacher’s Book p.20 for Activity 2. Ask pupils to use the
pictures in the story to
guess the meaning of the words they don’t know in Activity 2.
7. Play a Stand up if it’s true – sit down if it’s false game using have/has
got. (For next lesson, make sure pupils bring their notebooks to create their
learning diaries)

12. Pupils complete page 5, Activity 1, 2, and 4.
13. Play “Is it true”, is it false?”. Pupils write in capital letters TRUE and
FALSE on 2 pieces of Paper. They take turns to say or make up a hobby
or interest that a member of their family has. Then ask: Is it true? Is it
false?
