1. What are the physiological benefits of swimming and how does it impact the human body?

excellent cardiovascular exercise, enhancing heart health by improving circulation and increasing
lung capacity. Muscles across the body, particularly in the arms, legs, core, and back, are engaged,
promoting strength, endurance, and toning. The low-impact nature of swimming reduces stress on
joints, making it suitable for individuals with arthritis or joint issues. Additionally, swimming boosts
flexibility, coordination, and balance due to continuous stretching and movement in the water. Its
impact on the respiratory system improves breathing control and lung function, while the release of
endorphins fosters mental wellbeing.

2. Discuss the safety considerations and precautions associated with swimming, particularly in open
water environments.

Open water swimming presents unique safety challenges. Understanding water conditions, such as
