Genset Repair To obtain a budget for the aforementioned works Approval of additional budget to 2024
in the amount of Php 420,132.35 Capex – General Rehabilitation of Genset
On December 5, 2023, an updated report was presented regarding the genset's condition, proposing
approval for repairing a detected leak during the observation of the genset's status and replacement of
found out defective pressure sensors.
It was observed that the genset unit had experienced a leak in its front section, raising suspicions about
a potential misalignment on these areas. The issue primarily affected sealed regions by the gasket,
particularly the coverings of the engine's front section, such as the flywheel housing and oil pan.
Addressing this gasket-related problem requires the removal of the main alternator to access and fix the
issue. Since there was a previously awarded project that involved dismantling works similar to those
needed for this repair, Loadflow did not bill for mobilization or labor costs. They only provided a quote
for purchasing the necessary gasket required to rectify the leak. Furthermore, the conclusive plan for
rectification and prevention of these leaks involves restoring the smooth and proper alignment of the
Genset. This will be achieved by replacing all vibration springs, which were identified as contributing to
the unsatisfactory results of the vibration skid test. It is noteworthy that the replacement of these
springs was already included in the upcoming mobilization of Loadflow.
They were in the process of mobilizing during the second week of February for the project that had been
previously awarded. To reduce redundant tasks and minimize the downtime of the unit, we are
appealing for approval to procure the necessary gasket for the fully repair of identified leak, and
purchase the required pressure sensor that is needed to remove the genset alarm.
