    It means education is not only for the mental expansion of learners but also for the character
    development, preparation for the future and overall wellbeing of the learners.

    Values Education/ Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao and also Social Studies. Araling Panlipunan.
    3. How does education help in bringing about total national development?
    It brings awareness and a system of instruction to young individuals who eventually will be
    the ones involved in the development of our nation.
    4. Why is education essential for every society and individual?
    Because once again, it does not only cater to the mental aspect of the youth but also their
    social, emotional, and at times even spiritual development of these individuals which are all
    crucial in nation building.

    As shown in the graphic organizer, education plays a big part in the development of
    people who will eventually be involved in the processes of political, economic, social,
    and cultural transactions in our society. It opens awareness, gives guidance, and
    provides clarity to issues that may seem vague and confusing to young minds.

    2. Why education is important amidst the pandemic?


    Because it helps the youth gain a better understanding of the changes that are
    currently taking place in the society, thus making them effective citizens of the present
    and future society.

    3. How education affect the lives of people in the present society?


    Education opens a doorway of opportunities for people to improve their lives. Education
    is a way to ensure that the present is taken care of and so is the future.

    1. Can you relate to the challenges you have mentioned above? Why?
    Yes. As a student who is part of the lower class, equipment has always been a
    problem especially in the early days of the pandemic. Since we learners are given more
    opportunity to work in the days of modular mode, lack of motivation was also
    experienced.
    2. In this challenging times, tools, resources and tips are plentiful; do you think we can
    achieve quality education for all during Covid-19?
    Of course. It simply needs the cooperation and ALL IN support of all people and
    departments involved. It may be difficult because we are in a developing country but
    that doesn’t negate the possibility of achieving quality education.
    3. How does DepEd address these challenges since it is the first and foremost
    government agency that involve in this concern?
    From what I have seen, DepEd has done quite a lot to address these challenges such
    as giving away equipment for teachers (and sometimes learners) to use, e.g. tablets.
    Also, the monthly load that teachers receive to make sure they are able to contact the
    learners during these trying times and so on.
    4. As a student, how will you show your support in addressing this pandemic?
    Simply by spreading awareness about these to my circle of influence. Hopefully by
    doing this people who hear would come to appreciate the efforts being done by both the
    government and the people in mitigating the effects of the pandemic to our education
    system.
