PART I (QUESTION 1)
PURPOSE
The purpose of this assignment is to evaluate learners’ critical thinking skills in addressing
pertinent issues in school bullying.
TUJUAN
Tujuan tugasan ini adalah untuk menilai kemahiran pelajar berfikir secara kritis dalam
menangani isu-isu penting dalam buli sekolah.
SCENARIO
Bullying can affect physical and emotional health, both in the short term and later in life. It
can lead to physical injury, social problems, emotional problems, and even death (Centres
for Disease Control and Prevention, 2015). In 2017, Malaysians were shocked by a series of
bullying incidences that ended in the death of T Nhaveen and navy cadet officer Zulfarhan
Osman at the hands of their peers. According to the Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation,
bullying affects 84% of children under 18 in some way or form.
SENARIO
Buli boleh menjejaskan kesihatan fizikal dan emosi, baik dalam jangka pendek mahu pun di
kemudian hari dalam kehidupan. Ia boleh membawa kepada kecederaan fizikal, masalah
sosial, masalah emosi, dan malah kematian (Pusat Kawalan dan Pencegahan Penyakit,
2015). Pada 2017, rakyat Malaysia dikejutkan dengan beberapa siri kejadian buli yang
berakhir dengan kematian T Nhaveen dan pegawai kadet tentera laut Zulfarhan Osman di
tangan rakan sebaya mereka. Menurut Yayasan Pencegahan Jenayah Malaysia, buli
mempengaruhi 84% kanak-kanak di bawah umur 18 tahun dalam beberapa cara atau
bentuk.
REQUIREMENT
Critically reflect on the above scenario and discuss the causes of bullying in schools and
develop strategies to stop and prevent this phenomenon.
