COURSE DESCRIPTION The course aims to enhance the civic consciousness and defense preparedness of the
students by developing their social ethics and patriotism. They will gain knowledge and
experience in contributing to the general welfare and betterment of life of the members
of the community and the enhancement of its facilities. This is especially devoted to
improve health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation and
moral of the citizenry and other social welfare services of the community.
PREREQUISITES None
A. Recognize the goals and objectives of the National Service Training Program by
making a community outreach project proposal;
B. Analyze the various environmental issues and concerns in the community;
C. Explain the relationship of the selected community’s disaster risk profile to its
geographical location;
D. Recommend solutions and legal actions to the contemporary issues on national
drug abuse situation; and
E. Propose, organize, conduct, and participate in the community outreach
programs/activities to enhance and develop civic consciousness, socials ethics,
patriotism, and love of country.
