How do I log into CargoWise?

Before you start


Your System Administrator will need to provide you with access to the CargoWise Cloud Client
app, together with your username and password, so that you can access CargoWise.

Quick steps
Log into CargoWise
1. Open the CargoWiseCloud Client app. and enter the credentials provided by your System
Administrator.

2. In the CargoWiseCloud Client app window, right-click on the CargoWise database icon and
select Run. Or, double-click on the icon to open the application.

Tip: to save the CargoWise database icon to your desktop, providing quick access, right-click
and select Create Desktop Shortcut.

3. In the CargoWise application window, within the Login section, enter:


a. Username
b. Password

4. Click on the Login button.

Password Reset: if this is the first time you are logging in, you’ll be prompted to reset your
password. Enter your Old Password, then enter the New Password twice to reset it and
continue.

Note: when you change the password for your Production (live) system, it will change the
password for the CargoWise Cloud Client Application.

5. In the Company, Branch and Department section, review/enter:


a. Company
b. Branch
c. Department
6. Click on the OK button.

Login Company, Branch and Department access restricted: Staff security rights control
access to a Company, Branch and or Department. Please see your system controller if you
cannot login.

7. The CargoWise home page will open, allowing you to browse the Information Portal and Main
menus.

Log into another Company


1. Within CargoWise, click on the Jump menu.
2. Click on the Options menu and select Change Company, Branch and Department.

Tip: you can also enter CTRL + Shift + B.

3. In the Company, Branch and Department section, change the login details as required.
4. Click on the OK button

After login; the Company, Branch, and Department you accessed will be remembered for
next time.

Can I login to multiple CargoWise sessions?


You can log into multiple instances of CargoWise using the same machine. However, if you
attempt to login from another machine while there is an existing session open on the current
desktop, you'll receive a system prompt advising that you can force the other login user to
be logged off by clicking on the Yes button. On the other machine, a system prompt will
display giving 60 seconds to save the work before the application automatically exits.
