Objectives: To inform parents of FYBCOM students about the university rules regarding
attendance of students, online classes, courses, exam patterns, prelim exams and other
important tips to be followed by the students.
Need: Parents should always be informed about the educational process to be followed by
their ward during the course of their study in the college. Parents need to be acquainted
with the Programme Outcomes (POs) and Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs) under
the B.Com. Programme. All queries from parents’ side must be addressed satisfactorily.
Content: University rules regarding attendance of students, actual attendance of students
till the month of October, discipline to be maintained in online classes, prelim exams, and
other important tips to be followed by the students.

REPORT

Event: PARENTS TEACHERS ASSOCIATION

Date: 20th November, 2021

Timing: 5pm to 6pm
Venue: Zoom App
Scope: FY B.COM A & B - Students and Parents

Objective: To inform the parents about the attendance, performance of students, their courses,
exam pattern, prelims, etc.

Highlights: The Parents Teachers Meet for FYBCOM students of our college was organized on
the 18th November 2021 via the Zoom Platform at 5 pm. The meeting was attended by over 100
parents along with their children. Parents of 41 girls and 43 boys gave valuable feedback.
Asst. Prof. Shreelaxmi Pai, the class teacher of FYBcom-A, welcomed Vice Principal & BCOM
Coordinator- Asst. Prof. Sandesha Shetty, Asst. Prof. Debbie James, parents, and students. Asst.
Prof. Sandesha Shetty, initiated the meeting by addressing important issues such as attendance,
examinations, and role & responsibilities of parents and students in achieving 100% results. Sir
also addressed and discussed the Program Outcomes (POs) and Program Specific Outcomes
(PSOs) under B.Com. Programme, thus adding more weightage to the programme.
After this, Asst. Prof. Debbie James presented a PPT through which all the important instructions
were given, including the importance of 75% attendance, daily lecture timings, mode of
assessment, the timetable for prelims examination, and support required from parents.
The class teachers then met with the parents in two break out rooms according to their respective
classes where each student's attendance was shown and the floor was then opened for students
and parents to ask any more questions, the same were answered by the faculty members.

The meeting concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Asst. Prof. Shreelaxmi Pai, thanking
the Management, Principal Sir, Vice-Principal Sir, other faculty members, and most importantly
all the parents and students for attending the meeting.
