Lionel Andrés Messi was born on June 24, 1987 in the city of Rosario,
Argentina. Messi grew up playing football and joined his first club when
he was five. At the age of eight, he signed up for the famous Newell's
Old Boys' youth team. His career nearly ended when doctors found out
he was suffering from a growth hormone deficiency. Luckily, agents
from Barcelona saw his talent and in 2000, he moved to Spain. The
Catalan club paid for his medical treatment and coached him until he
made his Barcelona debut.
Playing for Barcelona until 2021, Messi started playing for Inter de
Miami in 2023. As soon as he played his first game for Barcelona in the
2004-05 season, Lionel started breaking records. He became the
youngest footballer ever to play a La Liga game and the youngest to
score a goal. Messi helped his team win the league in his first season,
and the league and Champions League double in the following season.
In the 2008-09 season, he scored an impressive 38 goals as Barcelona
won the treble.
Everyone knows Lionel Messi now as the best football player in the
world. In fact, a lot of people say he might become the greatest player
ever. Messi was the FIFA’s World Player of the Year. While he was
playing for the club team Barcelona, he helped them to win the
European Champions League and the World Club Championship.

Me sentí muy bien, ya que esta actividad es crucial para lograr un
aprendizaje efectivo y placentero del inglés.
¿Qué siente que debe mejorar en su proceso académico?

Creo que debo mejorar mi organización y gestión del tiempo. A veces
me cuesta mantenerme al día con las tareas y estudios, por lo que creo
que, si logro planificar mejor mi tiempo y establecer prioridades, podré
mejorar en mi proceso académico. También siento que debo trabajar en
mi concentración durante las clases y sesiones de estudio para poder
asimilar mejor la información.
¿Cómo cree que esta actividad le aportó a su proceso académico?

esta actividad me aportó conocimientos y habilidades que serán útiles
en mi proceso académico y me permitirán comunicarme de manera más
efectiva en inglés.
¿Cómo percibe usted la importancia de aprender un segundo idioma?

Aprender un segundo idioma es extremadamente importante en el
mundo globalizado en el que vivimos. Además de permitir una mayor
comunicación con personas de otros países, aprender un segundo
idioma puede abrir muchas puertas tanto personal como
profesionalmente. En el ámbito laboral, tener conocimientos de un
segundo idioma puede mejorar las oportunidades de empleo, aumentar
la movilidad laboral y ofrecer la posibilidad de trabajar en empresas

multinacionales. Además, aprender un nuevo idioma también puede
ampliar el conocimiento cultural y facilitar la comprensión de diferentes
perspectivas y formas de pensamiento. En resumen, aprender un
segundo idioma es una habilidad valiosa que puede enriquecer la vida
en muchos aspectos.
