BGS (BRON GUITAR SHOP)

“STRUM AND PICK AWAY THE PAIN”

LOCATION: NABANGIG, PALANAS, MASBATE

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

There are no department stores or establishments that sell or retail musical instruments in the
town of Palanas, Barrio Nabangig, where I formerly resided. Therefore, this is an incredible
opportunity to launch a company called “Bron Guitar Shop,” or BGS. All of my target clients
will visit our business because there isn’t a competitor.
With a balanced combination of guitars, amplifiers and accessories of high quality, BGS (Bron
Guitar Shop) will provide the buying public with a superior shopping option. Our products will
be supported by competent repair services and a professional, pleasant staff that is equally
focused on enlightening the consumer as it is on completing the sale.
BGS will focus exclusively on semi-professional and amateur guitarists because these two
groups are looking for value, good customer service, and informed advice when making what
can be a sizable purchase. “Strum and Pick Away Your Pain” will be our distinctive marketing
tagline, which will be ingrained in every customer’s head.

Your music needs will be met by BGS’s owner, Bron R. Morados, and the rest of the staff.
I. BUSINESS
1.1 BUSINESS MODEL AND VALUE PROPOSITION

BGS sells musical instruments and related merchandise by promoting the store’s educational
approach and having one of the most interactive store layouts of its kind. There will be a large
selection of guitars and related things available for purchase, both new and used. The majority of
our collection will consist of bass guitars, electric guitars, acoustic guitars, amplified
instruments, string instruments, and ancillary goods.

Out-serving the competition is the major goal of our strategy. Apart from offering our products
and services, it is also one of the goals of the business to conduct music lesson programs to
encourage the community in playing music, and establishing music clubs. This is done so that
my items will appeal to everyone, including those who cannot play an instrument.
Additionally, whether they be teachers, clergy, or performing musicians, we want to forge strong
bonds with essential consumers who have sway over other people’s purchasing decisions. These
people are crucial to the company’s long-term success. To excite and energize our customer base,
we will take advantage of the fantastic clinics and concerts offered by our manufacturers and
suppliers. We will also bring in local standout musicians. To optimize their potential for future
sales, we will call back and poll anyone who attended these events.

1.2 PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

The BGS (BRON GUITAR SHOP) will provide a wide variety of guitars and related items for
sale, both new and old. String instruments, bass guitars, electric guitars, acoustic guitars,
amplified instruments, and accessory products will make up the majority of our inventory.
Additionally, we’ll offer a full-service department for repairs and customizations right here (band
instruments, guitars, and electronics).
As a component of our entire commitment to educate our clientele, we will provide a
“strumming” music lesson program with top-tier instructors. To further fulfil the needs of our
neighbourhood, we will establish music clubs for youngsters and elders to better serve the needs
of our community. This effort will provide both private and group classes in addition to outreach
to local schools. Along with outreach to nearby schools, this initiative will offer both private and
group courses.
Although we sell school band and string instruments, our greatest competitive edge will be our
service and lessons. For the foreseeable future, guitars will continue to be the main source of
income for musical instrument businesses.
BGS (BRON GUITAR SHOP) will offer several name-brand instruments, such as:
Electric and acoustic guitars, including exclusive lines by Epiphone, Martin, Ibanez, and other
nationally recognized brands like Yamaha, Gibson, and Suzuki.
Amplifiers by Crate, Kustom, Traynor, and Hiwatt to support our guitar sales.
A fully supplied accessories section to complement the aforementioned things. According to the
Music Trades article, 80% of the buying public saw this as the most crucial factor in their
decision to purchase from a musical instrument dealer.
We will place an emphasis on upgrades and customization items in addition to full repair services
for our products to create new revenue streams. When carrying a name-brand product puts
providing the consumer with the best value overall at odds, we will always go after the product
that best serves their needs.
When it makes sense, we will buy essential things in quantity, but we will also keep in mind that
sometimes getting a better deal just to get a cheaper price is not the greatest course of action for
our finances. To get a slight pricing advantage, we shouldn’t take the chance of overstocking
brand-new or untested products.

1.3 MARKET STRUCTURE AND ANALYSIS

Many people believe that music is important because, in addition to being enjoyable, learning an
instrument has a number of positive effects on the brain, the nervous system, and academic
performance. The guitar is a versatile, enjoyable to play instrument that can be used practically
anyplace.
In the town of Palanas, barrio Nabangig, where I formerly resided, there are no department stores
or establishments that sell or retail musical instruments. Therefore, this is an incredible
opportunity to launch a company called “Bron Guitar Shop,” or BGS.

1.3.1 TARGET MARKET AND CUSTOMER BASED

Our most frequent clients are semi-pro and amateur guitarists, as well as schools, churches, and
other institutions in need of musical instruments. Additionally, we frequently see locals and
music-loving students.
We evaluate schools and churches at 30% since these clients buy a lot for long-term use, while
we grade semi-professional and amateur guitarists at 50% because they are the top consumers
and consistently purchase the majority of my products, which is very beneficial for my business.
10% for locals and 10% for students, since they occasionally make purchases when necessary.
We thereby reached all of our desired clientele.

CLIENTS PERCENTAGE

1.3.2 MARKET SIZE AND POTENTIAL

The BGS (BRON GUITAR SHOP) is situated in Nabangig, Palanas, Masbate. There are 27,322
people living in the municipality of Palanas, according to the 2020 Census. A barangay in the
province of Masbate’s Palanas municipality is called Nabangig. The 2020 Census found 3,089
people living there. This accounted for 11.31% of Palanas’ total population. At least 40% of
27,322 people living in the municipality of Palanas should use BGS’s products.

1.3.3 COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

Masbate City has stores and establishments that offer or sell musical instruments; however, it is
located 81.4 kilometers away from the municipality of Palanas. BGS decided to start a business
in Palanas, Bario Nabangig, because there are no department stores or places that sell or retail
musical instruments there.
Because BGS has no competitors in Palanas, there is no market competition, which is likely to
lead to a lack of variety in the items offered. We are powerless to pick and choose; the cost will
stay the same because neither customer appeal nor innovation depend on pricing, and without a
price war, shoppers will lose interest.
In order to avoid it, BGS makes sure that the business is busy, constantly has something exciting
to sell, and improves every day in order to prevent the negative effects. And act like there’s a
competitor. BGS will grow and become more substantial.
1.3.4 COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

Most of our competitors only sell the products themselves; however, BGS provides services to
support the products. We will make the most of “name brand familiarity,” a factor that most
dealers ignore and undermarket. By keeping ours well stocked, we’ll take advantage of our
competitors’ shortcomings in the accessory market. In order to thrive in this new economic
climate, we must provide a variety of services and product lineups, as well as competitive
pricing. We are dedicated to giving our consumer base the highest product value in addition to
educating them.
If we want to increase our market share from the very beginning of operations, we must reveal
the flaws of our competitors in the accessories category, which is the store’s largest profit center.
Competitors that don’t carry the required accessories will direct their clients to competitor stores,
where they might not shop again. To capitalize on the weaknesses of our competitors and avoid
this trap for ourselves, we must maintain our accessory section well-stocked.

1.4 MARKETING AND DISTRIBUTION

1.4.1 MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION

The target client groups will be informed by BGS (BRON GUITAR SHOP) that its products are
undoubtedly available in their area. The message will be conveyed via a variety of techniques in
the plan. BGS will print an advertisement and publicly share it on social media. These magazines
will effectively reach the intended demographic for advertisements. BGS will provide you access
to the internet, and you can converse with any of these social media;

1.4.2 DISTRIBUTION

BGS is a real store with a physical address in Nabangig, Palanas Masbate. The 360m 2 BGS
physical store is constructed in a two-story building with a glass wall and a gray tint to make it
visible to passersby and draw in costumers. The owner, Bron R. Morados, will also serve as the
organization's CEO, and we have different staff members assigned to each corner. The primary
objective will still be personal sales. But consumers can also shop online. Between the days of
scheduled deliveries, BGS will run one delivery vehicle. Deliveries will be made from Monday
through Friday, and they will be deliberately routed to reduce travel time and fuel costs while
increasing production. If it reaches the 15 accounts specified above that placed online orders,
delivery will begin. The requirement for more delivery trucks will continue to be assessed as the
number of accounts rises. Routes will be adjusted to preserve maximum efficiency with each
extra delivery truck. Expected income is 18,600 pesos within a day, 558,000 pesos within a
month, 6,789,000 pesos within a year, and 33,945,000 pesos after 5 years.

1.4.3 SALES

BGS will always operate under the premise that any customer who walks into our store could potentially
be a customer of one of our competitors. Every time a client comes to us with a need, we will make every
effort to meet their needs with our best attention. By exciting their senses with cutting-edge, eye-catching
displays that are intended to maximize impulse purchases, we will make every attempt to win them over
in a low-pressure, relaxing environment. No matter the customer’s recognition, whether a novice, parent,
or young person, the company will always adjust its services accordingly. Every effort must be made to
reach our objective of obtaining the highest market share possible.
BGS will provide many initiatives aimed at boosting sales, including:
No matter where your guitar was purchased, BGS’s “Free Restring” policy will restring it at no cost to
you in an effort to win your business. Restringing costs extra strings or parts in addition to labor.
In conjunction with the purchase of any style of guitar, BGS will provide “Free Guitar Lessons.” The
consumer will receive coupons for four free group lessons under this arrangement; each week, a new level
of these courses will be held. Our knowledgeable guitar team will instruct classes. The cost a customer
pays to purchase a guitar is unaffected by this scheme.

1.5 PRODUCTION PROCESS AND DEVELOPMENT

The business will be managed by BGS owner Bron R. Morados, who has a variety of staff
members and crews working for it. To buy and sell products from well-known companies like
Yamaha, Zukuki, and others, BGS will get in touch with them. To remind everyone that BGS is a
superb company and may be recommended, the company will guarantee the highest quality while
also producing their own guitars.
BGS will be built close to the main highway so that clients can easily notice it. Also, when
passersby notice our exquisite things on display behind the shop’s glass wall, they are drawn in.
After three years, BGS will have branches in each Masbate Island district.

1.6 SUPPLIER AND RAW MATERIAL

Three sources for guitar and amplifier providers are known to BGS. There are two guitar
suppliers for us. The first provider is RJ Guitar Center, which is based in Taguig, 1634 Metro
Manila, Philippines, and may be reached at 09279541507. The second one is Benjie’s Music
Store, which can be reached at 09283320412 and is situated on the lower ground of the SM City
North EDSA Main Building in Quezon City, Philippines. I’ll sell the best and most well-known
brand of guitars possible with the assistance of RJ Guitar Center and Benjie’s Music Store. For
my instrument, which is available here in the Philippines, I work with these two suppliers in
order to reduce shipping costs and have a backup in case I run out of stock. The third supplier is
audiohub.ph, which is situated in Pasig, 1606 Metro Manila, at Victoria Place and C. Raymundo
Avenue. Their phone number is 09493637504.

1.7.1 MANAGEMENT

After a long day of work, one of the owner’s favorite pastimes is playing the guitar. This pastime would
not have survived to the present day without tenacity, perseverance, and a love of the guitar. Additionally,
the owner’s talents improve greatly when he plays the guitar. Particularly, the owner of the BGS is able to
multitask while performing, for example, singing and strumming a guitar. As a result, he will undoubtedly
have the opportunity to improve his memory and organizational abilities. He has developed patience,
tenacity, and practical skills by playing the guitar, to put it briefly. So, the owner of BGS is also interested
in this company for this reason.

1.7.2 LEGAL STATUS

Laws have several functions in society. Determining the appropriate behavior that is regarded as
the standard of conduct for citizens is one of them.
To safeguard business owners, managers, staff members, and the company itself, the state has
enacted a number of laws. You can anticipate potential legal concerns in the future, make smarter
decisions, and take the appropriate actions by understanding and adhering to the established
legalities in the company sector.
These are the guidelines that BGS must follow legally:

• Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)

Before starting the store, we had to properly register our business name.

• MAYOR’S PERMIT
It must be acquired before we can offer our product.
• TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (TIN)
To easily recognize and tax.

1.7.3 PARTNERS AND SPONSORS

Family members of the owner serve as his company partners, supporters, and sources of funding.
Additionally, he is permitted to borrow money from the bank under the condition that he will be
able to repay it. The owner’s brothers were partners in the business and would provide assistance

devices have been installed. To prevent fires from occurring in working
environments; maintain machinery and electrical items. Maintain easy
access to all electrical control panels and fire alarm equipment, and
implementing no smoking policy. BFP will come every month to secure or to
prevent fire risks.

and shifting input as relative prices change.

from flooding.

S-I + W-I = The necessity for a guitar teacher within BGS management has a significant effect
on high-quality goods.
S-II + W-II = If the business is experiencing uncontrolled and unplanned growth, having a great
location might not be as beneficial as it might seem. It will be a great challenge for BGS to figure
out how to make way for uncertainties with regards to the location and population.
O-I + T-I = The absence of adversaries may be a plus, but there is a chance that the selection of
goods may be limited. BGS needs to have a flexible and more creative strategy to meet potential
clients’ tastes and styles.
O-II + T-II = Some people will be inspired to copy because of urbanization and the emergence of
new enterprises. As BGS grows, we have to make sure that we maintain our credibility with the
market.
S-I + T-I = A firm can draw customers by offering high-quality goods, yet buyers may be turned

S-II + O-II = For my opportunity to launch a new firm, location is crucial. BGS will help to
develop the economy of Nabangig, Palanas, Masbate.
W-I + T-I = A major problem is the limited variety of the items available, as well as the
impossibility of finding qualified guitar instructors. The management will do workshops for
personnel who are not qualified to enhance their abilities and be suitably qualified for the
position needed.

W-II +T-II = One of BGS’s weaknesses is uncontrolled and unplanned expansion, and having
individuals copy my firm will make it lose money. Just like other businesses, BGS needs to have

government, all of which will raise living standards.
BGS makes it possible for others to find work in addition to themselves. By introducing
innovative goods, techniques, and manufacturing processes to the market and by increasing
overall productivity and competitiveness, entrepreneurial activities may have an impact on a

the ability to influence society in terms of emotions, values, and culture. In times of war when
traditional channels of communication are difficult to use, understanding the connection between
guitars and social bonding is extremely important. The healing process, tearing down barriers
and walls, rapprochement, and education are all made easier by BGS goods.
BGS will be able to have a significant impact on the expansion of our community in terms of

more costumers, tourists, and possible investors.
Long-term innovation and forays into more novel and inventive product forms and features
would allow BGS to develop goods for both domestic and export markets, which would result in
greater employment prospects for locals.
