SUMMARY OF IC- PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT

measured by various psychometric tests.

 Continuous (quantitative) variables are trait scores and a numeric score is


assigned to a person to determine how much of trait a person possess is the
process that best describes trait approaches

 All of a person’s learned qualities, such as beliefs, expectations and personality

development, free will, and self-awareness
 Erik Erikson emphasize that from childhood to adulthood, personality develops in
a predetermined order. He called his theory “psychosocial theory” with the eight
developmental stages which means an individual goes through a psychosocial
crisis at each stage, which can have a positive or negative impact on their
personality development

 Id- immediate gratification, urges

 The Parent Ego State -based on our childish understanding of parental rules and
understandings.
