I. Rationale
Project Kinaadman is a community engagement initiative designed to empower

the residents of Barangay Madawon in Nabua, Camarines Sur. With a team of more than 10
dedicated members, this project has a dual focus on providing valuable entrepreneurship
skills to parents and students while imparting the art of crocheting to teenagers. The
primary objective is to uplift the economic status of the community by offering tailored
training in the creation and sale of dishwashing liquids, a marketable product that can be
produced and managed within the confines of their homes. By targeting parents and
students eager to supplement their income, the project aims to foster a micro-enterprise
culture within the barangay. Simultaneously, engaging teenagers in crocheting serves to
preserve cultural heritage and provides them with a creative outlet with the potential to sell
crafted items. This holistic approach to community development ensures that Project
Kinaadman addresses a variety of needs across different age groups, fostering unity and
shared progress within Barangay Madawon.
Project Kinaadman, derived from the Filipino language, encompasses not just a
series of workshops but a journey towards knowledge and wisdom. "Kinaadman" translates
to wisdom or profound knowledge in English. The choice of this name reflects our
commitment to not only provide practical skills in entrepreneurship and crocheting but to
impart a deeper understanding and wisdom that goes beyond the immediate scope of the
project. By instilling knowledge and skills, Project Kinaadman aspires to create a lasting
impact on the community of Barangay Madawon, promoting self-sufficiency, unity, and a
sense of shared wisdom among its residents. The project aims to be a beacon of kinaadman,
guiding community members towards a brighter and more empowered future.
II. Goals and Objectives
Goals:
1. Entrepreneurship Training for Parents and Students
To equip parents and students with the knowledge and skills to create and sell
dishwashing liquids, providing them with an additional source of income.
2. Skill Development in Crocheting for Teenagers
To introduce teenagers to the art of crocheting, preserving cultural heritage and

offering them a creative outlet while potentially generating income through the
sale of crafted items.
3. Fostering a Sense of Kinaadman (Wisdom)
To instill a deeper understanding and wisdom beyond the practical skills,

promoting a holistic approach to personal and community development.
Objectives:
Specifically, this project aims to:
 To facilitate hands-on workshops: Participants will learn the step-by-step

process of making and marketing dishwashing liquids, enabling them to
establish small businesses within their homes.
 To provide comprehensive training in crocheting for teenagers: They will
learn various techniques to create marketable products, fostering not only a
valuable skill but also a connection to their cultural roots.
 To engage in discussions, reflections, and community dialogues:
Participants will gain insights into the broader aspects of entrepreneurship,
community building, and the significance of preserving traditional crafts,
contributing to a deeper understanding of these subjects.
