Connaught Park play session (Monday 12th July)

Children may wear their own clothes on Monday – so long as they are appropriate for playing outdoors. In the
afternoon, we shall be taking them to Connaught Park to play in the playground. Please ensure your child has a
water bottle with them in school, and also that they have appropriate clothes for the weather (sun hats or sun cream
if hot, extra layers if cool).

Sport’s Day (Tuesday 13th July)

Please see separate messages from Mr Annakie.

Leavers’ Mass (Monday 5th July)

At 11:30am on Wednesday 14th July, Year 6 shall be attending church for their Leavers’ Mass with Fr. Leo. The
children shall be presented with their Leavers’ gifts during this mass. Children should be wearing full school
uniform on this day. Please note – parents and carers are unable to attend this mass in person due to the
current situation. You can share the experience with them and watch however using the live streaming service
provided by the church – please use this link:

Archery tag (Wednesday 14th July)

As archery tag will now be on the afternoon after our Leavers’ Mass, please ensure children have a change of
clothes with them in school for this activity. They need to have long sleeves to protect their arms and full-length
trousers/jeans/leggings due to the physical nature of the game.

Shared breakfast (Thursday 15th July)

We would like to invite children to come to school at 8:35am as normal on Thursday morning, but to join us in the
outdoor classroom for a shared breakfast.

Board game morning (Thursday 15th July)

Children can play their favourite board games at school for the morning. To minimise any risk from Covid, we
ask that these board games be brought to school on Monday 12th July – so that they can be quarantined for
the recommended amount of time prior to use. The children will then be able to bring them home again in the
last few days of term.

Inflatable obstacle course (Thursday 15th July)

These activities will be taking place on the school field. Children may wear their own clothes for Thursday to
accommodate the obstacle course – however we do ask that they are wearing long trousers rather than shorts for
safety reasons.

Evening activities (Thursday 15th July)

After school on Thursday, we are inviting the children to stay for an evening. We shall be having pizzas delivered
for dinner and hope to be able to have a campfire experience with marshmallows and hot chocolates. We shall also
be playing some evening games on the school field. We ask that parents collect their children by waiting outside the
school gates at 7.30pm. Children should ensure they have an extra layer with them to put on as the temperature
cools down throughout the evening.

Silver Screen Cinema trip (Friday 16th July)

We will be walking to and from the Silver Screen Cinema, where children will be attending a private screening of a
movie. We shall be providing popcorn and drinks for the children to enjoy whilst in the cinema. After the film has
finished, we shall be taking our packed lunches to the beach and having a picnic, followed by ice creams - before
returning to school for the afternoon. Please could you provide your child with a packed lunch on Friday 16th
July – which they can take to the cinema with them in a rucksack or bag. Children should wear school PE kits
as they have games on Friday afternoon.

In between the activities we have planned, we will be doing a range of fun games and activities – both in the
classroom and on the school field – to build on problem solving and teamwork skills.

We hope that it will be a lovely week for the children. Please do contact us if you have any questions about the
activity week.

Kind regards and best wishes,

Miss Drage
