Description & Scope


EV Metals Group is planning to develop a two-train lithium hydroxide plant for the electric battery chemicals complex on an area of 127
hectares in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia.
The US$450 million project includes the following:
1. Construction of a two-train lithium hydroxide plant with a total capacity of 50,000 tonnes per annum
2. Construction of production units
3. Construction of storage units
4. Construction of distribution units
5. Installation of equipment
6. Installation of safety and security systems
7. Construction of associated facilities

with Mustang and Faisal Jameel Al Hejailan Consulting Engineering
Company, a subsidiary of Wood Plc, for the development of the first two
processing trains for production of lithium hydroxide monohydrate
(LHM) in the Lithium Chemicals Plant of the Battery Chemicals Complex
in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
EV Metals partners with Yanbu Royal commission to build $900m : The Royal Commission in Yanbu on Wednesday signed a $900 million
battery investment agreement with EV Metals to establish and operate a factory
for the production of electric battery chemicals.

19/01/2024 EV Metals Group has signed a framework agreement with Metso for the
project.
03/01/2024 The main contract tender is expected to be awarded by the end of 2024.

13/09/2023 The main contract bids are under evaluation, and the main contractor is
expected to be appointed in 2024.
25/08/2023 Bids are still under evaluation and the following companies have
submitted the main contract bids for the project: Intecsa, Tecnicas
Reunidas and Petrofac.
23/03/2023 Synergy Consulting is appointed as financial adviser to raise debt and
equity for the development of the project. (Source: MEED)
22/01/2023 EV Metals Group (EVM) has signed the land allocation agreement with
the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, a 127 hectares of land has
been allocated for the development of the project. The construction work
is expected to start by third quarter of 2023. A gas (6,240,000 cubic feet)
and power allocation from Ministry of Energy has also been signed by EV
Metals Group (EVM). The project completion is expected by 2026. The
main contract bids are submitted and we are in the process of identifying
the bidders.
01/11/2022 The tender has been issued and the bid submission is on November 18,
2022. We are working on identifying the pre-qualified companies.
05/04/2022 FEED work is ongoing as per the schedule, construction of the first two
trains of LHM is scheduled to commence in Q1 2023 with commissioning
scheduled for the second half of 2024.
01/02/2022 FEED works are progressing as per schedule.

13/12/2021 Maaden is working as the developer on the project.

18/10/2021 Wood Group is working as the FEED contractor and FEED works are
underway with scheduled completion by the fourth quarter of 2022. The
construction works are expected to commence by the first quarter of
2023.
