Notification resardin admissi on in First semester in Govt. General Desree Colleee in the
Academic vear 2024-25

The passed-out students of Higher Secondary / equivalent examination, who are interested to take
admission in all Govt. General Degree Colleges of Tripura for the academic year 2024-25 are hereby
informed that admission to the First Semester of First year in the B.A,ts.Sc/B.Com (Major & Minor)
Courses will be conducted as per the following schedule. Students are asked / requested to apply
online as per the notification given below:

I Date of submission of online 06-06-2024 to ll-06-2024 upto l2 midnight

2 Date of publication of the merit list 18-06-2024 at 3 PM

5 Date of publication of 2nd list and 03-07-2024 at 3 PM

6 2nd round admission of students

1, The students need to go to the Web Portal of Directorate of Higher Education vide URL
h ttDs:ii h ishered ucation.tri I)Ura.gov,ln to access external linl to Samarth, Govemment of

India to apply to Colleges for admission in 1't semester, UG Programme.

2, The Students need to create individual Registration and Login ID to proceed further for
applying online.
3. The Personal details as per requirement of the portal need to be given correctly by the
students.
4. After registration, 5 (five) Subjects/ Courses/ Colleges as per their choice to be selected.
The candidates are requested to apply for Major programmes so that based on merit, at
least a Major prograrnme in a College may be chosen for securing admission of all the
aspiring students. They may change their subject/course in College at a later time if his/her
subject/course is available as per merit and the available seats at that time.

5. During registration, utmost care should be taken to fill up email-Id & mobile number,
personal information as per application format, Aadhaar or Aadhaar enrolment number,
Mathematics marks in Madhyamik examination, marks of various subjects taken in Higher
Secondary examination, Photo and otler relevant information in proper manner so that the
registration is done properly.

6. The merit list of students seeking admission in Major & Minor Courses will be prepared
on the basis of Index Percentage. The Index percentage will be calculated on the basis of
marks obtained in the best 5 subjects in HS(+2) stage plus markes obtained in the subject
in which Major is sought for and it will be devided by 6(six). As per the index percentage
the students will get allotment in their respective subject on merit and other criteria.

7. Students can make queries related to online admission in the helpdesks of the Colleges,
helpdesk of the Higher Education Department, helpline number of Colleges from l0 A.M.
to 5 P.M. and respective college's email given in the College web portal. The students may
also take help of the Common Services Centres (CSC) oftheir locality, ifneeded.
